I booked this cottage because it was less than a mile from the local pub. But it was closed!! Seasonal closing....this should of been stated. The local amenities were also closed!! The heating in the cottage was via the log burner, which took ages to burn with the three pieces of kindling and wet logs that was left. I paid extra for the coal, as stated, but it didn't burn long enough for the morning, and I had to purchase more kindling and wood, even though there's a wood store full outside, but locked. The house smelt of sweaty dog and fish. But the location was lovely

Beautiful area of Scotland but cottage was a let down. No welcome pack ..We got there late after 18 hour drive . was absolutely freezing.no kindling for fire .no heat or hot water without a lit fire .the garden wasn’t safe for our little chihuahuas. Full of dog mess.broken wood with nails in it .an unsightly old caravan in the yard .managed to get kindling from local shop the next morning so eventually lit the fire .still freezing for my disabled husband. So we left .spoilt our holiday in beautiful Scotland

Great location to get away from it all. Beautiful surroundings and scenery.

This cottage and the area are something very special, a great place to recharge and relax, I have never been somewhere so beautiful, the landscape is truly breathtaking! The cottage is perfect, lots of space for me and the dog and what a woodburner for chilling out in the evenings.

The cottage is very cosy and warm when the stove is on , and set back from the road , it feels like you are far away from the world.

Lots of things there such as towels. WiFi did not work but we had good three signal so hotspot good. Overall enjoyed it. Quirky.

good location, nice house though it does have it's foibles, .

A comfortable cottage, well furnished, especially considering the remote location. The coal stove took a bit of getting used to, but fortunately there were a couple of other heaters. The cottage is very dog friendly, with a secure garden and there are plenty of sandy beaches nearby.
