The cottage is well appointed, all rooms have modern ensuite facilities. We need a downstairs room and the triple room off the dining room was a great size. The beds, mattresses and duvets were all modern and comfortable. When we stayed storm Ciara hit and the double glazing did a sterling job minimising the wind and hail. The cottage has a very large tiled hallway suitable for muddy boots etc to be taken off before entering the cottage lounge/dining room or kitchen. Clitheroe is 4 miles away and has +4 supermarkets and a variety of shops but as there are no local shops a car is a must. Holden Clough Garden Centre/Tea rooms is at the bottom of the road and a good place to pop into for lovely food. There is no footpath so walking along these roads has to be done with care. We would go to this cottage again as it was an ideal size for us and the ensuite facilities on each room were a bonus.

The old dairy was the best accommodation we have ever stayed at, everything you could possibly required was provided. Our problem was the location. So far from anywhere and no pavements so had to drive every day to take dog for a walk twice a day.

Our 2nd year at Christmas as a family here. We love it. Doesn’t look like we will be able to return for Christmas 2020 due to it being only a week booking, work commitments are stopping us. Beautiful cottage. Beautiful location Everything you could need Only downside this year was my son has left his wallet somewhere in the cottage with quite a bit of birthday money, caretaker has looked but says not there

The cottage was perfect for 3 couples, each having their own shower room. The only drawback was the lack of windows in the dining room and two bedrooms, sky lights don’t offer the same amount of light but I assume it’s to do with building regulations. Fabulous week away though and would definitely go back again.

The Location and outlook is lovely . Quite far away from most supermarkets. Although a beautiful cafe and garden centre at the bottom of the hill . The cleanliness wasn’t all that great the bathroom tiles were mouldy scum around the taps skirting boards ect were dirty and the bathrooms in general needing a good clean . There was no matches to light the fire and only 1 towel each . We couldn’t open the windows in the downstairs bedroom so it was very stuffy . There is also very low phone signal .

The cottage was lovely my only criticism would be two frying pans are needed one small frying pan isn't enough for 6 people and a couple more pans would have been useful. Saying that the cottage itself was spotless. Very comfortable beds and all en suite which is a bonus.

We had a problem with the cleaning when we arrived at 3.00pm the cleaner had not finished the cleaning, not her fault it seems the previous guests had left it in a bit of a state and did not vacate until much later than they should have done, however because we needed to get in we finished the cleaning off downstairs, and I have to say they had left it a very dirty state. It took us about two hours to clean and mop all the downstairs, not an ideal way to start an holiday.

Good location for touring the Ribble Valley. Previous reviews had said the property was very clean but we did not find this to be the case. The floors were soaking wet when we arrived half an hour after the check in time, the oven was very dirty and the oven trays were rusty. We left a comment to this effect at the property so I'm sure this will now be rectified. The 2 local pubs are excellent and serve good food however are not easy to walk to due to single lane roads so care needs to be taken if walking. Good sized rooms and great that all bedrooms are en-suite.
