Situated in the heart of the picturesque hilltop village of Mathry on the edge of the Pembrokeshire National Park, this bright and well-furnished cottage offers spacious accommodation just a short stroll away from the village pub and tea-room.
Built in the 1800’s, the cottage has a modern, cosy finish. With south-facing windows overlooking the local church, the living room is bright throughout the day, while a wood burner has been added for winter evenings. This spacious, open-plan room has comfortable seating around the fire and a dining area for evening meals and games. In addition, the kitchen is well equipped for social meal preparation. A suntrap seating area can be found to the fore of the property.
Corner House is just 2 miles away from the magical woods and quiet beaches of Abermawr and Aberbach, and the working fishing port of Abercastle. The local area has lots to offer, with its rugged cliffs, golden beaches and the wild Preseli Mountains. The Pembrokeshire coast path is easily accessible and one-way walks can be facilitated with the local bus service which passes through the village.
The historic city of St Davids is within easy reach and is renowned for its magnificent 12th-century cathedral and medieval ruins of Bishops Palace. The beaches of Whitesands, Newgale and Abereiddi are well worth a visit, where there are hidden rock pools, golden sand, and water sports activities.
The ancient town of Newport is close by, featuring two beautiful beaches with a selection of gift shops, traditional pubs, restaurants, and cafés beneath the shadows of mount Carningli, a famous hilltop, rich with myths and legends.
