Dalbeattie and Castle Douglas have a number of cafés, pubs and restaurants to enjoy a meal in, as well as an excellent butchers and food shops for you to sample the local produce.
This area of south-west Scotland is hugely popular with walkers and cyclists of all ages. The world famous 7Stanes mountain trails at Dalbeattie Forest offer some of the best mountain biking in the country and attracts riders from across the UK and beyond.
