We were very impressed with the cottage and it was a pleasure to stay in it. It was very homely and extremely well equipped. Two very minor criticisms were that there is no electric shaver point and there was a dirty saucepan in the drawer.

Cottage was comfortable and cozy. Very peaceful surroundings. Garden and grounds were great for exploring. It's a short drive to local shops and restaurants. The lovely pub is only five minutes walk away. Beds were nice and warm. Everything worked and was easy to use. Covered parking area next to cottage was handy. We had a great stay.

We enjoyed our stay and the host was helpful, available and provided a very nice welcome pack. Overall the cottage and garden were pleasant and comfortable but the kitchen could have been better equipped (e.g. Dishwasher, sharp knives, salad bowl...) Local pub was good but location didn't provide other amenities within easy range.

as we run a holiday cottage ourselves we are probably more critical than most the cottage was well presented and tidy but the kitchen was poorly equipped very few utensils to cook with ie no pyrex dishes or jugs or casserole dishes no food mixer etc as a matter of course we provide bread jams bacon sausage eggs fruit fruit juice grapes and strawberrys wide selection of teas and coffees butter and margarine tomatoe and brown sauce and selection of biscuits and a bottle of wine (this was provided) the local pub closed at 6.30 sundays and 9.30 rest of week just what you want on holiday no tv in either bedroom not enough clothes hanger only 4 per room we had to buy extra garden and outside was very nice and parking area excellent easy to find road noisy and busy from 5.30 in morning we realise you cant do anything about road

My wife, myself & our Shih Tzu had a lovely week in this excellent cottage. Very cosy & comfortable & ideal for the less mobile of us as all on ground floor. Comfy beds, very clean everywhere. Would certainly stay there again.

Nice comfortable cottage, shame no dishwasher and kitchen not overly equipped, could do with a few more mugs. Nice quiet, pleasant location, handy walks for dog

The welcome pack ( 1/4lb butter, small loaf ,6medium ! eggs , 1 pt milk 3 squares firlighters was an indication of what was to come .After 3 days of inadequate heating we asked for it to be turned up.Next day I asked again for the heating to be increased as I have an under active thyroid. It was immediately turned up until the last day. This caused major problems as neither of us likes to complain. We had no greeting from the owners ( living 100metres away !) and no enquiry as to whether the heating problem had been resolved So felt that having taken over £400 from us they did not care about our welfare or enjoyment. Shame because this is the type of cottage and location that we would wish to return to. Still he saved £20 on the heating bill.

Lovely cottage with stunning surroundings. I thought the kitchen could have been slightly better equiped, but other than that it has every comfort. The wood burner was great to have and use for added warmth and cosiness.

When we arrived, it was fairly easy to find with a covered parking space right outside the cottage in the courtyard. There was a welcome pack of bread, some butter & a pint of milk to get us started and the place was clean & cosy. The guest information brochure was pretty comprehensive & there were maps for local walks & attractions etc. We were lucky with the weather & we went out every day on walks followed by nice pub lunches & in our opinion, Cowbeech Farm Cottage was a good base to go out from. The hosts were very nice when we met them briefly & have kindly provided books, board games & DVDs in the property so there is plenty to do in the evenings or if the weather was bad during your stay. The cottage is a decent size and was big enough for our family of four (+ dog) for a few nights - the large corner sofa was nice & comfortable and once the woodburner was on, the place was really warm. All in all, we would recommend the property to others and would consider returning if we were visiting the area again.

Suggest an electric power shower would be an improvement and the sofa could be raised by putting blocks underneath the feet to make it easier to get on and off for those more elderly holiday makers. The cottage suited us for our return to Sussex to visit friends as we had previously had a business in the area.
