Cobbled setts line the high street on which the very popular 4-days-a-week market is held. Excellent towpath walks are easily accessible where brightly coloured narrow boats cruise along. Known as The Gateway to The Dales Skipton provides a perfect location from which to explore the National Park. The picturesque village of Embsay 2 miles is nearby and offers its very own steam railway frequently visited by Thomas the Tank Engine. The historic market town of Settle 17 miles is within easy driving distance and provides visitors with a selection of shops pubs and restaurants.     Small but has everything you need. Great location with a parking space right outside. No WiFi but it’s a holiday and there’s so many other things to do.

    Would definitely recommend to the point that we have re-booked ourselves. Perfect location - follow the short snicket straight to the town centre. Note there is no wifi or smart TV and you need to bring loo rolls, tea/coffee and soap/handwash.

    I've used 6 Craven Terrace four times over a 15 year period and have always found it to be comfortable, convenient and good value bearing it mind both it's location within the town and the town's location which provides, within a few hours drive, access to a number of interesting cities, superb countryside, coast and places of interest. The property has always been clean and well presented and parking outside the back door is another plus point. The only major negative is the lack of wifi which caused some inconvenience and may deter me from booking again in the future; I'd be happy to pay an extra £10 or £15 a week for that facility and I'm sure most other renters would too.

    Excellent location and a good base, particularly for exploring by public transport. Fairly comfortable and a good bathroom. Kitchen although small was adequate but a bit tired. Be sure to follow the owners directions to the property rather than rely on the postcode and your satnav.

    This is our 3rd time at 6 craven terrace. It is a great little cottage with everything you need. Although it is only a minute walk away from the high street, it is very quiet and peaceful. Plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants nearby. A great place to stay.

    Craven Cottage is in a perfect location, close to Skipton town centre but very quiet. There is plenty of storage upstairs and a lovely large bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped. The only downside is the lack of Wi-Fi, which may deter us from booking again. Also we couldn't find any spare bags for the indoor bins which meant we had to keep emptying the bin into the dustbin but keeping the one bag provided inside it. It was also disappointing not to have any information about recycyling.
