We were very impressed with Cravens Manor. It was ideal for a family gathering and the layout of rooms and bedrooms allowed people to have there own space if needed. One observation (not a complaint) a little more lighting in the lounges would be an advantage for the older persons to read at night. My Grandchildren have already asked if they can go back again in the summer months for the swimming pool. And as a family we would not hesitate to re-book for another family gathering/birthday

This is our second time of hiring the cottage as a group, and we always really enjoy the time away. We tend to visit out of season but the cottage remains a really location for us for any local trips, particularly to Southwold. There is a large amount of general living space within the cottage and the plenty of rooms across the 3 floors of the property. The owner (Hugh) always contacts us to ensure that we are all happy with the property and is very close nearby in case of any emergency. I would highly recommend this property for groups looking for excellent value quality lodgings which also provide a really good base. We would definitely be looking to visit again in the future.

13 of us celebrated my Mum and Dads Golden Wedding anniversary over 3 nights at Craven Manor. Amazing building, very comfortable beds, all the comforts of home. Loved it!

Such a beautiful house with wonderful surrounding grounds including tennis court and swimming pool - each bedroom was tastefully decorated in keeping with the general design of this period property - the first floor bedrooms were easily accessible but the second floor rooms reached from the staircase by the kitchen were fine if you do not have walking problems (absolutely fine if you are younger and fitter than our group of 70 year olds) the two huge lounges were very comfortable and welcoming after a long day out sightseeing - the dining room is large as is the kitchen with all modern appliances All in all I would certainly recommend this property

We loved it the house is beautiful there is everything there you need right down to a slow cooker and BBQ skewers. The grounds are beautifully kept, the pool is fantastic and we were lucky to have good weather. We received a lovely welcome message from Hugh and Sue along with a welcome box of lovely local goodies. Perfect place for a party of large people we will be going again

Excellent location for my wife's 70th birthday celebrations. We managed to surprise and delight her for a truly memorable time in wonderful surroundings. The property has every amenity you could possible want and the heated pool was great! Thank you, Hugh (owner) for all your help.

Far exceeded our expectations, an ideal venue for a family or group get- together. A very nice atmosphere with lots of old world charm there's plenty of space for gathering as a group both inside and out on the patio but also some private areas should the need arise (it certainly didn't during our stay!) The house facilities were excellent, catering for all the families needs for both the very young and not so very young. The gardens and outside space were ideal for the youngsters to run about and play games and the heated swimming pool was ideal for everyone's entertainment, we were in it everyday. It's in an ideal location being very private with lots of local attractions nearby, Southwold being just down the road. The proprietors Hugh and Sue were very helpful and are just a phone call away, if required. We would highly recommend a stay in this lovely period property.

We loved the pool (enclosed with hedges and gates, which was great because we had an 18 month old grandchild), especially the children, and appreciated all the different 'rooms' outside, for cricket, croquet, tennis, and the wild flower meadow was lovely. Plenty of space indoors and the decor was very tasteful but practical too.

Amazing house, so very special. 3 generations celebrating a golden wedding anniversary. Hosts so very helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful house and gardens. Loads of space for us (9) , inside and outside. Lovely area. We all enjoyed the pool , particularly the 4 grandchildren We were lucky to have good weather all week with spectacular electric storm on our last night! If the weather had been bad , I think we would have still enjoyed ourselves. Plenty of books and games to use. Used the rather run down tennis courts , but as none of us serious tennis players it didn't matter Plenty of space outside for ball games and lots of butterflies during our July week.

Had such an amazing holiday. Words cannot express what a marvellous time I had celebrating my 60th birthday with my family and friends. The gardens are stunning and the pool was lovely and warm. Could not fault it x x x
