Hoseasons "A pretty seaside cottage with welcoming open fire stunning coastal views and direct access onto the seashore.\n\n\nGround Floor \n\nThe property has economy 7 electric central heating and comprises\n\nLounge 1\n With open fire Freeview TV and comfortable seating.\n\nKitchen \nWith electric oven induction hob dishwasher and washing machine.\n\nUtility room\n With fridge and freezer.\n\nBedroom 1\n With double bed.\n\nBedroom 2\n With twin beds and Freeview TV.\n\nShower room \nWith shower and WC.\n\n \nFirst Floor \n\n\nLounge 2\n With comfortable seating area with lovely sea views.\n\n \n\n \n\n \n\nAll electric bed linen towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial fuel for open fire included. Travel cot available. Welcome pack. \n\n Enclosed front and rear garden with patio and garden furniture. Parking 1 car. No smoking. NB There is direct access onto the shoreline via the front garden. \n\n Cross Tides is the quintessential seaside cottage. Situated in a quiet backwater lane in the fishing village of Hilton and with gardens that open directly onto the shoreline this pretty 19th Century stone cottage is ideal for couples. There is a cosy lounge downstairs with welcoming open fire and a second lounge upstairs with stunning sea views ideal for sitting and watching the ever changing seascape and the small fishing boats along the shoreline. There are two pretty bedrooms and a modern shower room on the ground floor. The terrace garden is attractively set with tubs and flowering plants. A small gate opens onto the beach and small fishing harbour.\n\nThe village of Hilton is one of several pretty ‘seaboard’ villages that straddle this lovely Ross-shire coastline. They all possess beautifully kept seafronts and little harbours with rocky outcrops interspersed with stunning sandy beaches. This coastline is completely unspoilt and provides an idyllic seaside holiday away from the crowds.\n\nDolphins and porpoises are regularly seen in the bay and even the occasional basking shark and Beluga whale have been spotted close to shore. Just a short walk from the cottage there is an excellent pub restaurant café and a small local store. The area is an outdoor enthusiast’s paradise. Cycling hill walking golf fishing horse riding sailing canoeing and surfing are all enjoyed locally. Within ten minutes’ drive lies the oldest Royal Burgh of Scotland. Predominantly built of local mellow sandstone Tain is a charming historic town and offers an excellent selection of small shops restaurants cafes and pubs as well as a wide variety of sporting and recreational facilities including tennis courts golf club and bowling club all of which are available to visitors. This part of the Highlands is easily accessible for exploring the whole of the north. " https://img.chooseacottage.co.uk/Property/143/840/1430088.jpg CC511415

What a lovely holiday cottage in a great position. You are literally on the sea shore with views to die for across the sea. The cottage is really nice and comfortable and if you light the coal fire it stays warm & cosy. The upstairs lounge has beautiful views again over the sea. I personally didn’t think the dishwasher was needed as it takes a huge worktop space up and only took a meals worth of crockery for 2 of us., but that is just my opinion. The welcome pack was excellent and there was tea, coffee etc provided too. There are walks from the door along the shoreline both ways. There is a small beach in front of the cottage at low tide and the beach nearby at Shandwick is beautiful. The local shop is brilliant and sells everything and there are 3 supermarkets plus local shops in Tain. This is a gem of a cottage in an ideallic position for a peaceful holiday.

We loved Crosstides, well presented cottage right on the coast. Some special touches from the owners and very comfortable.

Perfect relaxing holiday in a lovely cottage by the sea. Did not want to go home!

Great cottage, great location. Peaceful and relaxing, perfect for getting away from it all. The cottage is decorated to a really high standard and has all the home comforts. The view from the upstairs sitting area is fantastic. Plenty of amazing walks all within easy reach, as well as loads of stunning beaches and coastline to leave you awestruck. There is a little pub within walking distance, it’s friendly and the food is really good. Close by is Tain which has good little shops and supermarkets. While we were there we joined the Silverback gym in Tain for the week and would recommend this if you like to keep fit as part of your holiday.

A lovely little cottage and fantastic welcome basket. Lovely walks and great sitting inside watching the seals from the window. Bring extra wood with you as there's not many places to get it locally and it's a little cold in the house. Clean tidy but basic. Stunning views and great walks

Lovely cottage in small seaside village. Everything you could want and lovely and clean. Hot water was a job to understand at first as only delivered in measured amounts but saying that it was enough and there is a shower and dishwasher so really not a lot needed. Garden on seashore lovely. Would definitely go back.

The cottage is lovely and comfortable, well equipped and very clean. The location is just perfect, beautiful view from the cottage itself and plenty of wonderful drives and lovely places to visit. Supermarkets fairly close, so no problems shopping. Perfect place to relax and set aside everyday worries. That's priceless. Will be back again.
