Set about a mile away from the beaches and coves one of the most popular bathing spots of the Lleyn Peninsula. ’Whistling sands’ is little more than a mile and equal distance is the popular resort of Aberdaron with its shops and eating houses. Very good holiday and lovely cottage to stay in. The owners who live down the road were very helpful and friendly. We did need to ask them to come and sort out the heating control on one occasion as it seemed to go off and we had no hot water. It caused some minor inconvenience but that was all. I lost count of the number of times I banged my head on door frames but then i am tall and it's an old cottage.

We loved staying in this cottage. The outdoor space was perfect for our children. The cottage was lovely and cosy and the owners were so helpful. It is quite remote but we knew this and wanted to be away from it all.

Obviously a lot of time has gone into the outside of the property as it looks in great condition. The rear yard/Garden really made it for us as a family with a dog with plenty of space to enjoy along with plenty of seating where you could enjoy the fantastic views. Inside needs a good clean, dirty light switch’s, dirty pull cords in bathroom along with black mould in the sealant around the bath. The Kitchen is tired with sides peeling away from units, work surface was damaged and felt dirty and the cooker hood has a damaged light casing. On opening the fridge the grill was black in dirt and mould which we cleaned, the fridge also struggled to remain cold to preserve chilled products. The log burner was a welcome sight and we used it most nights which was nice. The seating was comfortable but the sides of one of the leather chairs was very dirty. The Bedrooms were comfortable with the beds being clean. The Bedside table in the bottom bedroom close to the window the top draw handle either food around it or something. When we arrived there was a horrible smell in the lounge where we discovered that a mop and bucket in the cupboard which wasn’t very nice. To sum up the cottage, really nice on the outside but time to do something on the inside in getting the cleaning right, changing the kitchen along with the fridge.

Lovely little cottage in a great area. Back garden is ideal for children to play as it is completely fenced in. Website mentions warning about open stream but we couldn't find it and think it has been bricked off recently. The only reason for not giving a perfect 10 was the bedroom blinds let a lot of light in and with 3 kids this meant very early mornings. Will definitely be returning as we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.
