This cottage is located in a peaceful location with good links to the local area. The property is in need of an upgrade:
1. Bathroom is old and lighting is poor
2. All rooms require a fresh coat of paint
3. Seating is old and needs replacing
The owner was very pleasant and helpful

The cottage was adequately appointed. Conservatory generated excess heat throughout (no blinds) opened doors and windows resulted in dozens of flies coming in, they dispersed throughout, into the kitchen and lounge. Eating in the conservatory was very uncomfortable due to the flies and insects on table etc. Unable to contact owner as absent from property and no phone signal. The final straw was when they got into the bedroom, due to heat, we slept on top of the bed but we were woken by flies crawling on us. We packed and left first thing the following morning, having only spent three uncomfortable nights. contacted owner on return home he apologised and offered a reduced price holiday in September or £100 refund. We refused both as we wanted to leave honest feedback without any obligation

We had a lovely break at Damson Lodge because the accommodation was spacious for a couple and the owners’ surrounding garden meant the location was generally peaceful. We did get an aerial display team practising in the skies nearby and other occasional aircraft noise but there was little road noise. Generally it’s a comfortable, restful place to stay with pleasant, helpful hosts. The big issue for us was the total absence of mobile signal and WiFi connectivity which, had I been aware of, would have ruled out this property. The owners are aware there is also an issue with fogged double glazing which limits the view over the garden. I also found the shower’s performance disappointing. The kitchen is well-equipped and I enjoyed using it.

A lovely place to stay. A quiet location but central to everything. Apart from the weather we had an enjoyable week. Will be booking again as there is so much to do.

Well appointed, comfortable accommodation. Ideal location to visit Ludlow, Shrewsbury and Ironbridge. Bridgnorth is 10 mins drive away and has all necessary facilities needed. Welcoming and friendly owners. Would recommend.
Very comfy with plenty of space & storage close to places of interest with a good pub about a mile up the road relaxing stay
A lovely quiet location, with a spacious cottage to enjoy it in. Friendly but not intrusive owners. Lots of birdlife around.
Very comfortable cottage. Owners were very pleasant and helpful.
Would thouroghly recommend this cottage to anyone. If it's a peaceful holiday or one central for places to visit this is the place. Everything you need for your holiday is supplied in the cottage and if you like watching television your in for a surprise. Relax on the patio and be one with nature. 2 great pubs nearby if you wish to go out for a meal..
A good holiday lots to do with not much travelling.
Shropshire is a beautiful county with many historic towns and Damson Lodge is well placed near Bridgnorth to explore. We found the cottage comfortable and well equipped in a charming wooded setting. The owners live in the adjacent property but due to the setting the cottage feels self contained. Overall a very pleasant stay in this clean and well equipped property with lots of birds and squirrels to watch from the patio.
