Divers Cottage is a terraced property built in Victorian times, and is a fabulous choice for a family with its superb location in the centre of Herne Bay. Two comfortable bedrooms sleep four guests, making it perfect for a family, there is also alternative sleeping on the sofa bed in the living room if needed. As well as a fetaure fireplace dating from 1895, Divers Cottage has all the mod cons you need to stay entertained, including Smart televisions with Netflix in the living room and both bedrooms. Spotify is also available, as well as Wi-Fi, a Nintendo Wii and an Google Nest. This hidden gem has a charming outdoor courtyard complete with dining facilities and a charcoal barbecue, a great addition to the property being so close to the beach.
Keeping in line with its name, the Divers Arms pub is just on the corner and was believed to have been built on the proceeds of a smuggler and one of the world’s first salvage divers. The iconic Grade II listed landmark in Herne Bay, The Clock Tower, is believed to be one of the earliest purpose-built freestanding towers in the UK, and is just a few seconds away, along with the beautiful beach front, restaurants, pubs and shops.
With everything you need on your doorstep, a car is simply not needed here; the train station is just under a mile away and has good connections to London for a family day trip out! Keen walkers can enjoy the Oyster Bay Trail which starts in Herne Bay, or you can join others in nearby towns such as the Reculver Walk or Viking Coastal Trail. Other family days out include a trip to the famous seaside town of Whitstable, Wildwood Discovery Park, Millbank Art Gallery, and much more. Beach 120 yards. Shop 120 yards, pub and restaurant 70 yards.
