Lovely cottage in a beautiful location. To make your stay more comfortable the heating needs to be set to come on more frequently it did get very cold at times and that was with the log burner too

Overall we had a wonderful stay at the cottage, the location is great with stunning views. The only thing I would suggest changing is the cleaner coming in 30minutes prior to the check out time of 10am. Having her coming in at 9.30am and start stripping beds at 9.35am made for a very hectic check out. Using the toilet before an extremely long journey home while she was going in and out to change bath mats wasn’t comfortable. Likewise changing tea towels whilst we were trying to wash up the last cups we’d used. It felt very chaotic and rushed, not giving us chance to check the rooms for anything that may have been forgotten. Apart from that we enjoyed our week at the cottage and do plan to return in the future.

The location of the cottage and views across the Solway were amazing, sadly the cottage itself was disappointing the open plan living dining kitchen area was not very clean and really needs a makeover as it all looks tired, the lounge end with all the glass wasn't very practical as it didn't have any blinds and as we has quite a lot of sunshine it very hot and also the glare on the tv made it almost impossible to watch. The bedrooms were cleaner than the open area but were very basic and the beds were so hard it made them extremely uncomfortable and both bathrooms were also on the tired side. We really wanted to love this cottage because of the location but unfortunately we didn't.
