What a fantastic cottage, in a brilliant location, with THE most amazing view across The Solway Firth from the fabulous Conservatory. The cottage was spotlessly clean and well equipped. We like to cook and there were plenty of pans and dishes. It is a quiet and relaxing location but still close enough to be able to get out and about. We visited Galloway Forest, Roslin Chapel (near Edinburgh), a Tartan Mill in Selkirk, the Devils Porridge Museum and of course Gretna Green.......all well worth a visit. Book this cottage, you will not be disappointed.

Lovely relaxing break, very quiet garden excellent for the dog only problem he wanted to be out chasing the rabbits all the time. The beach nearby very Rocky but still ok for a walk. Ideal place to rest and unwind.

We had the most amazing stay at Dornock Brow Cottage. The cottage is very spacious, clean and well stocked with kitchen equipment. The views are just amazing and our children and 2 dogs loved the garden. It's just a short drive to the supermarkets to stock up on food. We loved the Devils Porridge museum and the Gretna gateway had some amazing shops. We actually got married during our stay which was perfect. We definitely plan to stay again. Everything was perfect. The cottage was always warm. There is nothing we could fault. Fantastic week away. Bob was great a very pleasant, friendly guy who met us on our arrival. We will definitely book again.

Had a lovely 3 day break in this cottage in a beautiful location. Only issue we had was finding the property because the local abattoir had closed the road to the property so we got slightly lost but the owner was very helpful and explained all this to us. Highly recommended

Had a lovely peaceful stay at Dornock Brow Cottage. Views from the orangery were breathtaking. Spent many hours looking out of the windows watching the tide come in and out. Had a couple of really good hot weather days and a few really windy ones. Bob the caretaker met us on our arrival and was on hand for any assistance. Cottage very clean, spacious and very well equipped for our stay. The only negative point was the fencing at the bottom of the garden which lead to the beach could have been more secure as our dog kept going through the gaps in the fencing onto the top of the small cliff edge which dropped down on to the beach. Other than that no other problems and as such we have booked for Christmas 2019. Many thanks

We enjoyed our holiday here especially as we had lovely sunny weather in September. The cottage has lots of room and we loved the views over the estuary. The garden was brilliant for the dogs with lots of space. There was apples and damsons in the garden which we used as sweets.
