Exceptionally well maintained clean and well equipped cottage Welcome pack of wine biscuits etc on arrival much appreciated after long journey. Had great time even during the inclement weather during our stay The house easy to heat up and would've made use of wood burning stove but found the first floor lounge more suitable for us as generally in the local pubs restaurants of an evening. The Milan restaurant in wooler brilliant and the black bull welcoming with lovely pub pie and veg. Had delicious seafood platter at the pub in Craster after early evening walk as the autumn sun went down. Visits to many of the castles nearby with Chillingham castle leaving you with a smile on your face just so different go take a look and find out for yourself! Any way dovecote house lovely place to stay and thanks to the owners for providing such a comfortable place to stay in..

We had a relaxing week in Wooler and we highly recommend staying at Dovecote House. The property was very clean and tidy, and it was a comfortable place to stay. The only downside is the lack of off-street parking, but we understand the reasons why this is the case and it wasn't difficult to find street parking places close by. Wooler is a lovely village to stay, is safe and is an ideal location from which to visit nearby places such as Seahouses, Alnwick, Bamburgh etc.

Dovecote House is a lovely property, decorated to a very high standard. The separate lounges meant we were able to spend the evening watching our preferred programmes and both being smart tv’s allowed us a fantastic range of watching. Everything you could need was there, whether it was kitchen utensils, books, dvds, bath and shower. We can’t praise this property high enough. The amenities were a minutes walk from front door and had everything you could need, coop, restaurants, pub and takeaways. Wool we was also quite central for the other areas we wanted to visit.

Loved this place! The house was so well equipped, and it was lovely to arrive with a bottle of wine and some milk in the fridge. The place was spotless, and such a fantastic house. My only thing was that being heavily pregnant it would have been great to have a loo on the ground floor as well, but everything else was just fab. I didn't realise how good Wooler was as a location either, and how all the shops were so close to the house. My toddler enjoyed reading all the books in the living room cupboard too! Thank you for such a great week.
