We had an excellent time! If you’re looking for a relaxing and friendly village, Lochcarron is a lovely place to be. The cottage is on Croft Road, which is above the main street that runs by the lochside. The Main Street has a pretty well stocked Spar, a garage, a Bistro and a Hotel. It also has a brilliant family run cafe, hearty food at good prices cooked and served by lovely friendly people. The cottage itself is warm, spotlessly clean and very comfortable; it has everything needed as a home from home. There’s an enclosed garden, which our dog loved! And there also a loch view. It’s a relatively easy walk down to the Main Street, either the “longway” down the lane, or down one of the 3 shortcut paths directly to the village main street. These might be a wee bit steep for some. Looking further afield, the cottage is a good base for visiting Skye, Applecross , Plockton and other areas. We’d definitely like to return! 😀

Nicest cottage we have stayed in, very well equipped and comfortable. Location lovely looking over the Loch but away from the main road so you are in peace and quiet.

A lovely welcome from the owners on arrival. The cottage was well situated and had everything you could want. The utility area was great for the dog too. An incredibly relaxing cottage with a warm feel. Lovely views from all the windows.

We loved our stay at this cottage, it had everything to meet our needs and we felt very welcome there. The location was perfect with a stroll to the loch, cafe, shops, and the local bar. You can do walks straight from the house. The cottage was well equipped, spectacular views and plenty of opportunities to watch the birds in sunshine and the clouds dancing in the sky. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen, reading in the lounge and planning our next walk each evening. It was very peaceful and great to be high up but at the same time close to everything.
