Duart far left in photograph is a superior detached bungalow one of two very attractive houses that has been well furnished and equipped in preparation for your well-earned Highlands break. Sitting just 200 yards from the shoreline of Loch Linnhe you will not fail to wonder at Duart’s prime position overlooking the loch and Glencoe Mountains. You are ideally placed for enjoying the wealth of walks that surround you. Whether you prefer a gentle stroll along the shore or a more adventurous ramble across the adjacent private hillside there is plenty of opportunity to explore.\n\nHere you are just 8 miles south of Fort William an ideal holiday base for touring in all directions. If you need to give your feet a rest then why not hop aboard a train on The Jacobite Steam Railway and marvel at the scenery as you journey amongst the lochs and rivers of this stunning area of Scotland. Harry Potter fans may recognise the viaduct at Glenfinnan.\n\nThere are plenty of eating places within walking distance of Duart and lots of water sports to keep you busy from fishing to surfing you’ll need to bring your own equipment. We really enjoyed the location of Duart, the fantastic scenery, and the closeness of Glencoe, Fort William, and Glenfinnan. However, the method of heating was disappointing (storage heaters), and only having a £10 limit for electricity was also disappointing, it's not something you expect when you go on holiday, particularly when it's your honeymoon!

Had an excellent stay, owners were friendly and very helpful. Lovely place, peaceful and right between Fort William and Glen Coe so idea for popping out for a walk. Spacious bungalow and can pop down to the loch at the end of the field. We had a great stay and would definitely consider returning.

This is a lovely little cottage with a spectacular view and the Loch only a few minutes walk away. Is a beautiful shot to stay. The couple who own Duart were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We had a problem with the dish washer that they had not previously been aware of and they replaced it with a brand new dish washer on the same day we reported it - in rural Scotland, amazing!!

The accommodation has fantastic views but is in need of some attention (peddle bin broken, kitchen roll holder broken, bedroom curtain ripped, dishwasher appeared to work but did not clean, clothes line but no pegs) relativity minor but annoying things. very hot as storage heater was on when we arrived and took two days to cool. No hot water on arrival and could not find any instructions.

Beautiful location. Very pleasant owner with tremendous local knowledge. Ideally located to tour the area or walk/climb local walks and hills. Good local amenities in Ballachulish and Glencoe and great hotels in nearby Banavie, Kentallen and Port Appin.

    Excellent - enjoyed.

We really enjoyed our stay at Duart. The cottage was so cosy and had everything we needed. It was immaculately clean with really comfortable beds and the view from the lounge was stunning. It was ideal for the dog too as there was a traffic free walk down to the beach. Our hosts were really welcoming and easily available if we needed anything. While our weather was mixed we had a wonderful holiday and I would recommend this cottage highly
