Tiverton 7 miles offers a selection of shops restaurants and pubs as well as the famous Grand Western Canal and Bickleigh Castle.\nThe nearest coast with sandy beaches and family attractions including Somerset World and West Somerset scenic steam railway is at the seaside resort of Minehead.     We were a family group of twenty adults and children taking the barn over the New Year. The weather had been very wet so wellies were definitely needed every day we went out. The owner was very helpful when we had one or two minor problems. There was ample parking and definitely enough and more equipment wise. Plenty of sofas and a huge table area to seat us all. It was very good value for money compared to other properties we looked at for the Christmas period. Generally the bedrooms were a good size. One thing we would point out is the so called “games room”. It was a small shed with a mouldy pool table overrun with birds. This was a disappointment as we have stayed at other properties with shared games rooms which were just what they should have been, this one was unusable. It is a good centre to explore Exmoor National Park, about an hour’s drive to the coast and fifteen minutes drive to a supermarket. Two nice National Trust properties are also fairly close by.

    Lovely cottage, really good venue for family get-togethers, only criticism is going into the kitchen there is not much room as the table blocks the access when people are sitting at the table. Otherwise perfect!

    Thanks for a great holiday. The house was everything we hoped it would be, a lovely house in a beautiful location. It was clean and well equipped and the owners were very keen to help. It was great that everyone could sit down at one table. We did wonder, though, whether the dining table would have been better located in a wider room so that people could more easily get around it, and so as to avoid a pinch point in the house, which is likely to be an issue with so many people.
