The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton is just a short drive away where you’ll find puffins in their natural habitat. If you fancy some shopping, the walled city of York is less than a 1-hour drive away. As well as shops, there are several museums, and of course the minster which is the largest Gothic cathedral in northern Europe. For those who prefer countryside pursuits, try some trout fishing at Driffield, or further along the road there is the Cottondale shooting ground. Beach 11 miles. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 4 miles.

A great cottage for 2, we both felt at home as soon as we arrived. The lounge is great for relaxing after a day out enjoying the coast or Wolds. To make it even better I would have preferred a dishwasher to a washing machine and oven gloves would be handy. Other than that everything was provided. It was that good we have already booked to return.

A lovely cottage in a nice quiet area. Not far from Bridlington and Scarborough and about an hours drive from York. Cottage was spotless on arrival and facilities are great. We visited flamingo land whilst staying here and would recommend that to anyone with little ones! Fantastic cottage and holiday

Third visit to this beautiful cottage, however the bath and shower need attention, handle for plug broken and shower ran hot then cold making it unpleasant to shower, however everything else was perfect x

All the facilities were great. The only negative was the wifi wasnt great and we were without wifi for a few days and as there was no phone signal there was no way of contacting anyone. But only a minor. Could also do with a cheese grater. Buscuits provided were amazing. Thank you for a great stay.

We researched this area as we have never visited Yorkshire. The cottage was ideally placed for trips out to Bridlington, Whitby, Filey, Scarborough and York. Other comments were saying there was no shop etc within walking distance, we did a grocery delivery and went out every day so topped up as and when needed. The only thing I would change is the information pack. It did not have instructions on the heating but once we figured it out we were fine. Also please supply oven gloves. The shower was ok but the flow was very fine even after twiddling with the settings on the shower head itself. Other than that it was a lovely relaxing mid week break and we would definitely return.
