An excellent break! The cottage was so much more spacious than it appeared from the outside.

Reluctant to leave this beautiful cottage. Best place we've stayed in Beadnell taking location, cleanliness and comfort into account. Carol the owner was great and we'll be back.

Beautiful cottage in an excellent location. They had stocked every item we could ever need in the kitchen, the bedrooms were spacious with plenty of clothes storage and provided hours of entertainment with books, games and DVD’s for every age group. Fantastic pub 2 minutes walk away and a lovely village to go Trick or Treating in. We have been visiting Northumberland every year for the last 10 years and this was our favourite location and accommodation yet!

Absolutely beautiful cottage very thoughtfully appointed throughout, so many little touches felt like home instantly and a pre holiday courtesy call from owners and welcome delicacies and postcard waiting for us in the kitchen on arrival! Beautiful little village close to stunning beaches castles and countryside. Had a wonderful week and hopefully will stay at Embleton cottage again - thoroughly recommend!!

Quiet location. Off road parking with use of garage, if desired. Attentive owners (rang us ahead of arrival regarding a couple of matters). Wonderful gluten free fish and chips at Neptunes (Seahouses) - there are other F&C shops in Seahouses. Well placed for Alnwick Castle (Historic Houses) & Gardens (gardens offer a carvery lunch on Sunday) and Barter Bookshop, Alnwick. Reasonable distance to Cragside (National Trust) which is a wonderful property with 6 mile scenic drive. Also a short distance to Bamburgh Castle (Historic Houses), which we loved despite the very strong winds on the day of our visit, and slightly further up the coast is Holy Island.

The cottage and our holiday in the area was excellent. We were privileged to have a swallows nest in the cottage porch during our stay and regularly spotted the four little ones and their parents, so cute. We had an evening meal at the local pub, the Craster Arms and also cake and coffee at the Salt cafe, both very good. We visited Cragside, Alnwick castle and gardens (separately), Bamburgh castle and the Grace Darling museum and we visited the RNLI lifeboat station and had a very nice lunch in a local family bakery in Seahouses. Our only MINOR issue with the cottage was the lack of towel rails/hooks as there was nowhere to air damp towels other than in the utility room which had an airing rack but the room housed the oil fired boiler and therefore did have a slight smell.

A comfortable cottage that the whole family could relax in. Being able to walk to the beach was a real boon.

Lovely cottage, clean and comfortable with good WiFi meaning teens could watch videos on line probably not fast enough for online gaming but that isn’t why you go to Northumberland. WiFi was important though with 4 teenagers. Adults also had a lovely time.
