Nice place and people, it could benefit from a few small tweaks such as enclosing the rear garden for pets and replacing the carpets, white carpets in a pet friendly and open fire environment has clearly not stood up to the tests of time. However, for every small negative there are plenty of positive extras, I didn't except such good quality bed linen, quality appliances and such spacious bedrooms. I would happily return and pay more if the garden was enclosed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Eyam View Cottage, there are plenty of walks right on the door step and the countryside is beautiful. It is a quick walk into the village, where you can visit the local brewery, a lovely little shop inside the national trust forecourt, and a great second hand book shop. The boys spent a happy time bouldering near Hathersage, and we all went crazy for REAL bakewell tarts in ....Bakewell! Rachel, Steve and the boys
