This comfortable, light and extremely spacious detached ‘upside-down’ house is set on a working farm in beautiful countryside.
Situated in an area with minimal light pollution and benefitting from starry night’s skies and peaceful surroundings, which you can enjoy from the lovely garden, Fairlaw Garden Cottage offers cosy, family accommodation with easy access to Northumberland, Berwick-upon-Tweed and an array of activities available throughout the Scottish Borders, Edinburgh and Lothian.
Alnwick Castle and Gardens is situated south of the property whilst Edinburgh is easily reached to the north, perfect for an action packed day out. Fairlaw Garden Cottage is also located just a few miles from the spectacular beaches and coastlines of south east Scotland, including Coldingham Bay and St Abb’s, offering spectacular surfing and bird watching. The surrounding countryside offers fabulous walking opportunities with Southern Upland Way and St Cuthbert’s Way, to name few. For keen golfers, Eyemouth, Dunbar, Goswick and the courses of East Lothian are within easy striking distance.
Fairlaw Garden Cottage is situated next to a working farm surrounded by rolling countryside. This detached former dairy building has been converted into an excellent base for families or small groups seeking a peaceful haven for relaxing and unwinding. The cottage itself has been set out in an ‘upside-down’ style to take the full advantage of the views towards the Cheviot Hills and the coast. The large, beamed, open plan living area is a great space for the family to all be together and the second living room is perfect as an alternative space to relax later on in the evening. The first floor has a separate toilet to add to the practical nature of the upside-down house. The property boasts a private, enclosed garden with a barbecue and sitting-out area, there is also a play area with climbing frame and swing for the little ones. Guests are welcome to use the large adjoining paddock, perfect for football and letting off some steam!
