    Lounge/Dining Room: With Living Flame electric feature fire, TV with free view, DVD. radio/CD and seating
    Open to:
    Kitchen: With electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge and freezer, dishwasher, washer/dryer
    Bedroom 1: With twin beds and en suite wet room with shower, wash basin and WC
    Under stairs Storage: Spacious storage area.

    First Floor:
    Bedroom 2: With twin beds and en suite with bath, shower, WC and wash basin
    Bedroom 3: With king size bed and en suite with shower, WC and wash basin
    Bedroom 4: With double bed and en suite with shower, WC and wash basin

    All fuel, power, bed linen and towels included. One well behaved pet welcome. Cot and high chair available.

    Private paved patio with furniture and shared lawn area. Ample parking. Please note: The owner requires a £100 refundable damage deposit to be paid on arrival for any booking taking a dog. Holidaymakers only.

    Located in a wonderful rural setting in rolling countryside on the Yorkshire/Lancashire border is Fallow House at Paythorne. This cottage has been constructed to give a traditional look yet meeting top ’eco’ specification to provide quality accommodation whilst caring for our environment. It is built in stone, giving the impression that they may have sat there for hundreds of years. Every last detail has been carefully considered to provide comfortable living. Fallow House boasts four en-suite bedrooms, with one on the ground floor with its own wet room, ideal for less able visitors.

    Paythorne is ideally located for exploring both the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. The village itself is well catered for with the local caravan site providing a shop where basic provisions may be purchased, there is a pub within 500 yards of the cottage, yet it enjoys a quiet, secluded location away from the village. There is a Post Office just 3 miles away, and the wonderful amenities of Skipton are within very easy reach. Paythorne provides an ideal location for walking and cycling, and there are many other amenities within the immediate area including a golf course. A warm welcome will always await you at Fallow House, and you are sure to be overwhelmed by the quality and location of this ’special’ cottage.

    We were very impressed with the accommodation and thought it was a really lovely place to stay. Not much to do in the surrounding area but only a half hour drive to wonderful places to visit, so well placed for a central point to travel from. The local pub, The Buck Inn, served excellent food and good portions. The staff and owners were lovely and friendly. A good place to eat and well priced. We would definitely stay at Fallow House again if we were wanting to visit this area.. Just be aware that there is no WiFi, which is the only negative, and perhaps needs to be considered as necessary in this day and age. Especially if visiting with teenagers or younger people. All in all an excellent place to stay and would definitely recommend.

    We loved our stay at Fallow House. It was lovely and clean, lots of kitchen equipment if planning on eating in. The bedrooms are lovely and spacious, as our the onsuite bath/shower rooms. There is a large TV with freeview and a DVD player. There are no DVDs so do take your own. There is also no WiFi and phone/internet connection is a bit intermittent. We were all on EE. We actually walked to the local pub which is 10mins walk from the house where we had the most lovely food and we were made to feel very welcome by the landlady, Rachel. Lovely log burner for the chillier evenings. Our only little moan was that there was no welcome book in the house with instructions on how to use the electric heating and fire which on the first evening it was very cold and we didn’t know how to turn the radiators up and get the fire to work and instructions would of been helpful. We did solve the problem in the end. Thank you for a very enjoyable and eventually warm stay.

    We were a diverse group of friends who met here and had a wonderful week, the cottage enabled those who were active to be out and about and those who wanted to rest to do so. With walking, an excellent pub and a church all close by it was enjoyed by all. With thanks

    This was our second visit to Fallow House and it is just perfect for us as a family of 5 adults, two children and a dog. Very spacious with four ensuite bedrooms. Nicely furnished and spotlessly clean. Good outside space with enclosed patio area and plenty of on site parking. Lovely quiet rural setting with a dog friendly pub 50 yards down the road serving good food, reasonably priced. Ideally placed for visiting many of the towns and villages in the Ribble Valley and Yorkshire Dales. We love it.

    Excellent accommodation of the highest standard for eight people in comfort. Ground floor bedroom with facilities for anyone whose walking is restricted. Pub with good eating close by. Ample parking. Ideal for our family reunion. Highly recommended.
