7 miles away from Tamworth made the lodge a great base for our stay. We had been let down last minute with our other cottage arrangements & we are glad we were. It took less than 30 minutes to get to Drayton Manor with our 2 & 5 year old (the reason for our stay) but we still got the benefit of being out in the country. No WiFi so we enjoyed some of the DVD’s in the lodge, the Thomas DVD was enjoyed more than once. There were jigsaws, jenga, kids books & a couple of car toys which we did not use but appreciated. The oil heaters meant it was lovely & cosy too.

Easy to find, wonderful quiet location was just what we wanted. Lodge was so comfortable and had everything you could possibly need. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful little lodge, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Well appointed kitchen and comfortable beds, with dvds and board games supplied. Can't comment on the local area, as we stayed in doing absolutely nothing apart from eating and drinking for 3 days to recharge the batteries. Lovely peaceful location and lovely owner who was attentive but not intrusive. Would highly recommend.

Staying here is a complete get-away from city living. You look out on sheep and bales of hay and green fields. The only thing you hear is birds singing. The owners are friendly and generous. The house is comfortable and well furnished. The only thing missing was Wi-Fi, and sometimes that is a good thing! Would recommend it highly.

Lovely remote cottage- clean and comfortable - very spacious open plan living room/kitchen with good sized bedrooms. Decked area gets the sun in the morning so it's the perfect spot for taking in the views over a coffee. Local pubs/Co-op are a short car journey away. Close to Twycross Zoo and there are lots of other things to do around the surrounding area!!! Would definately stay again - it was a perfect short break.
