Fishers Cottage is a lovely semi-detached property nestled within a quiet cul-de-sac in a development of similar style properties, on the fringe of the traditional, coastal village of Seahouses. The accommodation is well presented throughout and enjoys a bright and airy ambience. The living room is on the ground floor and leads to a dining kitchen, which overlooks the rear garden. All three bedrooms are situated on the first floor where there is also a family bathroom. The attached garage offers useful utility space with a good selection of games and outdoor toys stored there too.
Seahouses offers a wide array of facilities including tearooms, restaurants, pubs and shops, all within easy walking distance of Fishers Cottage. Boat trips to the Farne Islands run from the nearby harbour – the islands are famous for their nesting seabirds and grey seal colonies. Horse riding is available only 200 yards away and there’s an impressive golf course on the links close by.
The picture postcard village of Bamburgh, protected by its dramatic fortress, is only 2 miles north, with its wide expanse of golden, and often empty, sandy beaches and where the tidal island of Lindisfarne, locally known as Holy Island and the birth place of Christianity, can be viewed. A further 2 miles up the coastline brings you to Waren Mill, which is steeped in history. Once an important port, its harbour has long since disappeared, silted up beneath the sands of the estuary. Budle Bay is a bird sanctuary and at low tide a vast expanse of mud flats is the home to countless thousands of sea and land birds, making this location a haven for bird watchers.
The market town of Alnwick, with its own castle, offers many facilities a few miles inland. Alnwick Garden is a popular visitor attraction with its grand cascade waterfall and restaurant within the largest tree house in Europe! Fishers Cottage offers comfortable self-catering accommodation for families who wish to explore the Heritage coastline, designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Beach 300 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 300 yards.

Enjoyed our stay again. Carpets need deep clean and the interior windows especially at the back in need of a good clean. No dishcloths left out for bathroom or kitchen but found 2 in garage

I had a great holiday,,stayed in a beautiful house with everything I needed. The decor was beautiful, and the book collection was amazing! The house is only a few minutes walk from the village centre, and also just a few minutes from the beach. I would defy anyone not to enjoy staying in Fishers Cottage, we will most certainly be back.

Generally a lovely welcoming cottage. Nice and warm, which was needed for this time if year and well equipped. A bit disappointed there was no welcome pack, fresh milk at least would have been good. However, would return as well located.

Lovely house in a very quiet part of Seahouses right next to the golf course. We’ve stayed here before so obviously liked it enough to return. Some redecoration has been done but the actual cleaning (organised by the agent and not the owner I believe) wasn’t great - dirt round by the bins in the kitchen, sticky table and place mats and the bathroom left a lot to be desired. One of the beds in the front bedroom hadn’t had the bottom sheet changed and the (clean) pillow case was stained with mascara. That said, it’s a really well equipped place, probably the best we’ve stayed in and we would go back again - I just hope they change the cleaners before then!
