The accommodation is well presented throughout and enjoys a bright and airy ambience. The living room is on the ground floor and leads to a dining kitchen which overlooks the rear garden. All three bedrooms are situated on the first floor where there is also a family bathroom. The attached garage offers useful utility space with a good selection of games and outdoor toys stored there too.\nSeahouses offers a wide array of facilities including tearooms restaurants pubs and shops all within easy walking distance of Fishers Cottage. Horse riding is available only 200 yards away and there’s an impressive golf course on the links close by.\nThe picture postcard village of Bamburgh protected by its dramatic fortress is only 2 miles north with its wide expanse of golden and often empty sandy beaches and where the tidal island of Lindisfarne locally known as Holy Island and the birth place of Christianity can be viewed. A further 2 miles up the coastline brings you to Waren Mill which is steeped in history. Once an important port its harbour has long since disappeared silted up beneath the sands of the estuary. Budle Bay is a bird sanctuary and at low tide a vast expanse of mud flats is the home to countless thousands of sea and land birds making this location a haven for bird watchers.\nThe market town of Alnwick with its own castle offers many facilities a few miles inland. Alnwick Garden is a popular visitor attraction with its grand cascade waterfall and restaurant within the largest tree house in Europe Fishers Cottage offers comfortable self-catering accommodation for families who wish to explore the Heritage coastline designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Beach 300 yards. Shop pub and restaurant 300 yards. " https://img.chooseacottage.co.uk/Property/139/840/1390269.jpg UK3177

We really appreciated everything that Fishers Cottage offered . It was very comfortable, light & airy with a dazzling array of super Dunoon mugs printed with all kinds of seaside related items & some lovely birdy ones. It was a surprise each day to see which one my morning tea would appear in, made by Husband ! Dog friendly in every way. The only small problem for my old Whippet was keeping his wobbly footing on the laminate flooring downstairs. However, as I'd seen this from the pictures, we went equipped with a few of our kitchen mats which facilitated easy negotiation in & out of the patio doors and round & about . We were very lucky to have fab weather ,but had this not been the case & we were forced inside a bit more, well I've never seen such an array of books ( almost new & informative relating to coastal folklore in the region, Northumberland history, local flora & fauna etc etc) so that you couldn't be bored. Dvds & games too. The owners very generously allowed their guests to use a really first class bbq outside, and there was plenty of seating for a large group. The bedrooms are seaside themed & very attractive. In fact, all through the property there are the most splendidly accomplished watercolour paintings of the local area & birdlife ( puffins abound) We've been up to Seahouses many times & just love the whole area. The beaches are second to none & with doggies galore & like minded owners ,we were never short of a chat or three. I couldn't book the usual cottages we've used before as I'd left it a bit late , so Fishers was a chance encounter. We'll be back, perhaps even one more visit this year, though of course we couldn't expect the same sensational weather. We were soooo lucky. Thank you Fishers & your kind & generous owners. Overall the house was well-equipped, although the double bedroom was a bit of a squeeze for 2. The coastal path was just 2 minutes from the house and it was a lovely walk in either direction. As chiminea owners, we were surprised that the one at the house was not set up with a good layer of sand, so, despite bringing our own supply of wood, we opted not to use it, especially once we noticed the crack in the opening. We left the house after 4 days as our dog was unable to cope with the laminate flooring.

Enjoyed our stay again. Carpets need deep clean and the interior windows especially at the back in need of a good clean. No dishcloths left out for bathroom or kitchen but found 2 in garage
