No smoking.\nThis delightful first-floor apartment with views out towards the estuary at Appledore makes an ideal destination for a holiday. Located just down the road from the popular coastal village of Instow there is plenty to do and see during your stay. Instow is a pretty village with two shops eateries and pubs and all within easy walking distance. The wonderful beach with its lovely sand dunes is ideal for all ages and has its own appeal at most times of year. The town of Bideford is a short journey away with a range of facilities and a trip to Lundy Island can be organised from the quayside. Westward Ho 3 miles has a long stretch of sand and good surf. There is also an indoor swimming pool at Northam 2½ miles. The house is ideally located to explore either Exmoor to the east and its surrounding attractions or to the west there is the North CornishDevon coastline with its excellent walking and hidden treasures like Clovelly Bucks Mill and Hartland Quay. The Big Sheep farm park The Milky Way activity park Dartington Crystal and RHS Rosemoor are other places of interest to visit. The Tarka Cycle Trail and footpath can be accessed from the village which will ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy. Beach 1 mile.     As soon as we entered Galleon's Reach, we felt welcome and at home. There was a bowl of clean water ready for our dog, as well as treats,towels and tennis ball.There was also a welcome basket with scones, jam & cream, as well as a lovely bottle of wine and two glasses (who could resist!). The views of the estuary are beautiful and the area is peaceful. If you don't fancy driving, you can easily walk to the beach at Instow which is dog friendly. The pubs allow dogs if you want to eat there. If you don't want to walk along the main road there is a pleasant walk through fields instead. Both bedrooms are a good size, have decent storage space and the bedding provided is good quality. The apartment is situated in a handy location for exploring Devon without spending half the day in the car. It rained quite a bit during our week but it didn't spoil our holiday.
