    This is a lovely cottage in the small village of Ings, close to Stavely, situated within striking distance of Windermere, Rydal, Grasmere etc. It's a really nice space. We came as a family of 5 with a dog and felt very much at home but not at all on top of one another. The garden is enclosed so it was easy to let the dog run about a bit. There are 2 log burners - one in the kitchen/diner area, the other in the lounge, which adds to the character, although we never lit them as the heating was quite sufficient and nicely cosy. My only complaint would be that the upstairs bathroom hadn't been cleaned very well, but that didn't really detract from the overall feel of the place. We would definitely come back in future.

    Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, our only criticism of the cottage was the beds....each was very lumpy and uncomfortable making for restless sleeps. The location and facilities within the cottage were otherwise very good
