clean comfortable cottage, although the downstairs didn't have very much natural light this was due to narrow windows which was down to the cottage maybe been a listed building, with a well equipped kitchen and the shower room downstairs was a bonus, rather then having to use the over the bath shower upstairs, Bedrooms were comfortable and spacious with walk in wardrobes, A bit of a tight turn at the top of the stairs to negotiate Safety gates at the top and bottom of the stairs, good and secure garden with a bench and seating table bench to keep children and dog's safe The thing that let's this cottage down is the droning noise which I believe to came from a biomass plant which is in the buildings at the rear of the cottage at night this came a problem we started off in the rear bedroom then tried the middle bedroom which was ok for me but my wife ended up( as she is a light sleeper)in the farest away bedroom with single beds in

A very clean cottage with everything you need including Iron & Ironing board. 3 bedrooms with a double in 2 and 2 singles in 3rd. To find Home farm turn at Rinmore junction and then turn left onto estate signed goods vehicles. You will drive 30 meters and see 2 houses on left. take the track left around these houses You will drive up track about 100 meters with cow filed on left and trees on your right. At the end of the road is farm building and equipment . The road bares slightly right after 20 meters turn sharp left again sign posted Goods Vehicles. there is also a sign for another building in brown wood. Once turned the Home Farm Cottage is on your right. There is a slate sign on the ground saying Home farm. this is the only sigh to the property. We had a few drives around until we found the cottage. Good base to explore the area. We visited Malt Whisky distillery even though we dont like the stuff. Was very interesting. Did a few castles , the beach etc. Loch Ness is about 90 min away.

2 years ago we stayed at Tornahatnach, so we knew where we were going and what to expect. Clean and cosy home, very well equipped, though we missed some pepper and salt. The welcome pack was much appreciated, thank you Lynn. Netflix was a superbonus which we did enjoy in the evenings. Our dog also loved the place. The Highlanders in the opposite field were a lovely bonus. The only thing that bothered us were the upstairs doors which (for fire security I guess) always closed by themselves and not in a quiet way. Going to the toilet at night woke up most of the family. The double bed in the backroom was indendeed not a kingsize. But we could darken the room with the velux screen. Something we missed at Tornahatnach, where there were no curtains to darken the room at night. The kids loved to have a bedroom of their own. The front bedroom is also very lovely with the arched window, and I also loved the tartan curtains in the living room and the rabbit lamp. Would definatley come back to either one of the cottages at this estate, they do give you value fot he money, as wel as a clean, spacious and cosy home from home.

Home Farm cottage was a lovely holiday cottage, however it should be noted that the beds were not king size very disappointing as this was stated on the advert. There were no drawers for storage in the bedrooms and a full length mirror would have been useful, no chair in the bedrooms or bathroom for sitting on or clothes, nowhere to stand shoes in entrance hall and no wash basket. We had to ask for a vacuum cleaner! When we arrived the dishwasher was full and required emptying! We would return but hope these comments are fed back to the owner, the above in place would result in a perfect holiday let, a very positive point plenty of crockery made all the difference.
