It's a really nice house, has wifi and Netflix and although located near the centre of town is really quiet

This is the third time we've stayed at Glenmore and we love it. Superb house very comfortable and well equipped and in a perfect location, quiet yet very close to the centre of fantastic Ambleside. We hope to come back again and again

We love Glenmore cottage and have returned to it again and again over the years. It is ideal for a family of four, with the games room providing a great place for children of any age to enjoy themselves. The back porch is the best I have seen for storing walking boots, rucksacks etc and there are superb walks for all abilities from the doorstep. The living area is comfortable and cosy (particularly with the new settees) and the kitchen is well equipped. Supermarkets and restaurants are just a minute:s walk away. Parking is always a nightmare in Ambleside so it is brilliant to have private parking at the back of the house. I would thoroughly recommend Glenmore to anyone wanting a comfortable, relaxing visit to the Lakes.

Good quiet cottage, Off road parking, convenient for shops etc. Clean but smelt musty, maybe because of lack of use. Would go again.

Really nice weekend despite the rain but this is the Lake District so that's the risk you take and it wasn't really unexpected for November. Hopefully will return again next year for a longer stay.

We had a great weeks stay in Glenmore Cottage.. The best cottage we've stayed in in Ambleside so far. The parking space is a god send! The location is perfect- 2mins walking to the shops, restaurants and Zeffirelli's jazz bar and cinemas. Great walks from the cottage. Access to Netflicks a real bonus, especially as we had some of the worst rain for months so we stayed in a binge watched "The Crown" ! A thoroughly relaxing week.

The cottage scores very well for location with Ambleside and all its lovely shops only a minutes walk away. We really liked the fact there was WiFi, Netflix, a good table tennis table and private parking. Things to improve the cottage would be provision of towels, more thorough cleaning, particularly in the kitchen, which needed a deep clean. The step leading from the dining room to kitchen needs addressing as it is not very visible and my husband nearly broke his toe on it-perhaps a rubber slope would be appropriate. The cottage needs some general attention, examples such as The toilet needs fixing as it is constantly trying to refill itself and the door handle is broken. Some local walking guides would have been useful. Overall we had a lovely week, but the attention to detail was lacking compared with other cottages we have stayed in. We hope this feedback is constructive. Many thanks

We enjoyed an excellent week at Glenmore Cottage. It is a comfortable, clean, well equipped cottage on a quiet street but within a very short walk of all the shops, pubs, restaurants etc that you can enjoy in Ambleside. We didn't use the games room downstairs but it would be great for children and young people. The parking is easy - one space at the back and a Visitors Permit to enable you to park on the street outside. One tiny request - a couple of garden chairs would have been lovely as it was good weather most of the time and we squashed on to the bench provided at the front! The garden is a sun trap and very peaceful as a place to read etc. No complaints and would recommend it to anyone.
