    Wonderful place to stay, a real home from home and the extra touches that are provided are a really nice surprise. The location is great and the views are amazing. We hope to stay here again soon.

    This is a beautiful home and a great place to spend a holiday. The furniture and general furnishings were clean and good quality. There is an enclosed garden for pets, however this is also within the gardens of a larger house that also has pets. On a negative side it is quite near to the road so can be noisy on some evenings/mornings. Overall the slight negatives don't take away from what is a great home and location. Thoroughly recommended.

    Our first visit to the Lake District and what a great choice Granton Lodge was! Very homely and welcoming. The 'small' essentials were such a lovely touch, not to mention the beautiful flowers, homemade cake and bottle of bubbly! A great location to explore all around Lake Windermere and beyond.     Granton Lodge is an excellent base for a holiday in the Lake District. We would highly recommend this property. The secure garden was a fantastic bonus for our two dogs too.

    Really enjoyed our stay in May. The property is beautifully presented and every detail is thought about. Plenty of space for a family holiday and lovely setting it the gardens. A bonus that there are 3 bathrooms for 3 bedrooms! A car is recommended for the area. We tried walking into town but it is at least a 15 min walk and parts of the walk are on the road. It’s further from the action but it means a bit more peace and quiet which is what we were after.

    We stayed in the Easter holidays the house was perfect for our family of four plus dog. Very spacious, the upstairs main bedroom and bathroom area was really nice and separate. Our girls then had a bedroom and bathroom each they were spoilt! The house is very dog friendly with a secure garden and little extras like dog blanket, dog bowl and treats. The cottage is very convenient for Bowness and Windermere and the ferry across the lake. We thoroughly enjoyed our home from home and would book again.
