No smoking.\n Located just a short distance from the fantastic beaches at Yaverland Sandown Shanklin Bembridge and St Helens this delightful holiday home is great for couples whether they are looking for a full week’s holiday or a short break. The detached apartment consists of a spacious open plan living room kitchen and dining area. There is also a spacious double bedroom and shower room. Greenwood Cottage is pet friendly although there are no enclosed garden areas and is the perfect base from which to explore all that the eastern side of the Isle of Wight has to offer. The cottage is situated within the 11-acre grounds of Greenwood Farm which are available for guests to enjoy as they wish. There are stables and paddocks available for use arranged direct with the owner and a public footpath runs along the farm that connects to Brading High Down and beyond. Peace and quiet flora and fauna abounds. Attractions nearby within easy walking distance include Brading Roman Villa one of the finest Roman sites in the UK. Its visitor centre and museum offers unique insights into Roman life in Britain with exhibits ranging from beautifully preserved mosaic floors to an extensive collection of Roman archaeology.\nThe island has become a real hot spot for cycling enthusiasts with a choice of challenging off-road bridleways peaceful byways and level purpose-made tracks running along former railway lines. You can cycle across the width of the island to the famous Needles landmark or try the full round the island route which is 66 miles long and is used for the annual Isle of Wight Randonnee held over the bank holiday in May. You can also travel along the route at a more leisurely pace stopping off along the way at one of the many restaurants pubs and cafés that can be found in the quaint villages and towns.\nOther outdoor pursuits on the island include horse riding fishing paragliding golf and water sports. There are numerous attractions across the island to discover for all ages such as The Needles with its chairlift amusement park boat rides lighthouse and coloured sands of Alum Bay Blackgang Chine Dinosaur Isle the Isle of Wight Steam Railway Ventnor Botanical Gardens Tapnell Farm Park and Carisbrooke Castle - or why not pay a visit to Queen Victoria’s favourite holiday residence Osborne House and its gardens?     Great views all around ,very quiet ,and not far from supermarket and good pubs. Owners very friendly and on hand if needed. Plenty of space for two people and all you need in a holiday home.

    Great location for a quiet break. Location is ideal for travelling to any part of the island. There is 11 acres of land to walk round if you don't want to go out.

    lovely comfortable cottage in a very peaceful location. Landlord and landlady were very helpful. very good welcoming pack. The kitchen equipment was short of o few items that I would have liked to prepare meals. I have sent a letter to owners pointing out the items missing and I have no doubt they will put it right, I highly recommend this property.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Greenwood, lovely welcome from the friendly family owners who live nearby. Freshly made bread, fresh eggs from their chickens and a fabulous welcome pack. The family are full of information for any activity or preference. Within walking distance of town where there’s a variety of family themed pubs or stroll on beach. Only 10 mins walk to vineyard where you can relax and quaff. So peaceful and quiet, our wee dog loved the open space and safety of no passing traffic.

    Lovely cottage in a very peaceful location, only a short drive from Sandown, Ventnor & Shanklin. We received a wonderfully warm welcome from our hosts Tim, Rebekah & their lovely girls Willow & Ophelia. The welcome pack was one of the best we have ever had - freshly baked bread, butter, jam, milk, orange juice, wine, cheese & eggs from their own chickens - very much appreciated after a long journey. Our dog had a fantastic time both in the extensive grounds & on the lovely dog-friendly beaches nearby. All in all we had a really relaxing stay & I am sure we will be back!

    A great location in the quiet of the countryside but within a very short drive of the coast at Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor. The accommodation is spacious, but being on the first floor one has to climb a set of stairs. There is plenty of room outside to stroll or exercise the dog and plenty of footpaths for walks. The Roman Villa is just a few hundred yards away across a field. Tim and Rebeka are very good hosts and are a font of knowledge on where to go and what to do. The whole island is easily accessible from Greenwood.

    The cottage was secluded and quiet. Tim and Rebekah were very welcoming and accommodating. We had a slight problem with the internet but Tim was there very quickly an solved the problem. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise fresh home made bread, butter, eggs, milk and orange juice. The cottage is roomy and comfortable. We would definitely recommend and go back. We took our dog who also enjoyed the wide open space.
