A small hallway invites you into this property, offering the ideal place to kick off those walking boots after a busy day’s hiking. The open plan layout means you never have to spend a moment apart regardless of who’s cooking the evening meal or loading the dishwasher. After a romantic meal you can instantly slump into the comfy sofa in front of the fire and cuddle up to watch a good film on the TV. Moving into the bedroom, you find a double bed set below high ceilings and exposed wooden beams and the property is completed with a good-sized bathroom with a shower.
Gleaston is a rural village, an ideal location to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life, within a 5-minute walk there is Gleaston Water Mill to explore but if you jump in the car, you could be at either Coniston water or lake Windermere within about 30 minutes’ drive. Alternatively, you could visit Barrow in Furness, with a choice of activities such as the Dock Museum, which celebrates Barrow history of boat building and it’s still the venue that nuclear submarines are built for the Royal Navy. Or a little further on and you arrive at Walney Island with its sandy beaches, home to kite surfers or seals who come ashore to breed and two nature reserves. In fact, whatever your interest whether it be walking, climbing or cycling, steam trains, steam boats or museums, escape rooms, Segways or high ropes adventures, Michelin star restaurants, distilleries or sticky toffee puddings, there is something to entertain, so you’ll never be bored. Beach 5 miles.
