Gullsway is a spacious, detached house set in private gardens, enjoying an elevated position on the edge of Glencaple with a modern glass sun room and outstanding views over the Nith estuary and Criffel in the background. Gullsway offers spacious accommodation for a large family or a group of friends. The kitchen/dining room is a real social space, which in turn leads to the living room with its double aspect windows. The real gem however is the location and view itself, which not only offers an excellent level of privacy, but views over the estuary to the Criffel hill are breathtaking.

Gullsway is quietly set only a few hundred yards away from the small settlement of Glencaple in this beautiful corner of South West Scotland, and is situated on the banks of the River Nith, which once served as a port for the nearby county town of Dumfries. Take a stroll along the quiet road to enjoy a meal or a drink with a view at the local pub/restaurant. Gullsway is nestled within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and only 3 miles from the majestic Caerlaverock Castle and Caerlaverock National Nature Reserve, which is home to the rare natterjack toad and regularly visited by barnacle geese and other migrating birds. This lovely property also makes an ideal base for exploring this glorious area either by car, bike or on foot, with excellent marked walks available for all abilities. There is salmon fishing on the River Nith and several golf courses in the area, including the championship course at Southerness only a short drive away. Drive part of the South West Coastal 300, a route which is roughly circular so you can start from wherever you please. Enjoy the huge diversity of scenery and natural unspoilt beauty this stunning corner of South West Scotland has to offer. Beach 20 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
