    Very disappointed with the bungalow. The inside is very tired and beyond its sell by date, fine for the 1970,s but not for 2019. Seats in the living room were very uncomfortable, but there was a good large TV. Very difficult to use wardrobe in double bedroom without being a contortionist and easy to get stuck in this between the bed and the 2 doors as room is so tight. .Double bed was comfortable and bedding and towels were up to a reasonable standard Kitchen was reasonable but some of the cooking utensils were in a deplorable condition and an the frying pan was unusable. The bathroom needs to be completely replaced to modern standards as all is old and sad. Some ares need a good clean

    The location was great, quiet and picturesque although finding it was tricky as it was somewhat hidden behind a driveway. There are shops/pubs etc nearby and good access to main roads. It is a bungalow but worth knowing beforehand that there are two steps into the living room if you need one-level access. The main bedroom was dangerous and caused several falls due to the lack of room around the bed (we are petite build) and the wardrobe doors which cannot fully open but catch as you pass them and will block your exit. The Lino in the bathroom was not fixed to the floor at the threshold and caused further trip hazard. The bathroom was dingy and the only window didn’t have modesty glazing so the curtain needed to be kept drawn. There was a piece of kitchen paper wedged under the extraction fan which didn’t shout hygiene or safety. The bath is of the deep, rounded bottom type so children need extra close supervision and there is one tiny shelf to put any toiletries on. The toilet pedestal has a crack through it which isn’t hygienic. The twin bedroom (which really ought to be the master bedroom) was good but the very large, old storage heater had an electric lead with the outer plastic missing where it attached to the socket, thankfully not used by us. The bunk bed room was ok, basic but functional. The living room has a large tv and DVD player but the low back sofa was especially uncomfortable and the chairs weren’t much better so sitting in the evening wasn’t comfortable. The dining area was fine but a great shame that there was no key to open the back door to enjoy the garden from there. The kitchen was good and modern, clean appliances with the welcome addition of washing machine and dryer. There is a small fridge with a freezer shelf and the oven/hob/microwave/kettle was good. The garden was lovely but only accessible via the door on the side and the only seating available was next to the bins. We didn’ have any problems with the right of way used by dog walkers that the property has. However, it is something that ought to be mentioned by the owners rather than find out on reviewers comments. The term ‘enclosed garden’ is misleading as it’s widely understood to mean fenced and gated without anyone else accessing it, which this is not. If you have pets you will be out with them and you might have strangers walking through the garden past the kitchen window. With a little work and thought this could be a stunning place to stay.
