    Kitchen:  With electric oven and ceramic hob, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher and microwave. Tumble dryer  and freezer in the garage.
    Cloakroom: With WC and hand basin.

    First Floor:
    Bedroom 1:  Master double bedroom with en-suite shower room with shower cubicle, WC and hand basin and harbour view.
    Bedroom 2: Double bedroom with harbour view.
    Bathroom:  With bath, shower cubicle, hand basin and WC.
    Cloakroom/Heated Drying Room.

    Second Floor:
    Bedroom 3: Double bedroom with with en suite shower room with shower cubicle, WC and wash basin. Seating area and stunning views over the harbour to the Scottish hills.
    Bedroom 4: Twin bedroom with view towards the river.

    All gas, electric and bed linen included. Cot available.

    Outside paved garden to the rear. Garage for storing bikes. Parking for 1 car and  public car park opposite. Family groups only.

    Harbour Gates is situated on Ritson Wharf, the award winning harbourside development on Elizabeth Dock in Maryport. The property is in a totally unique location within the Cumbrian Cottage Portfolio. Situated on the harbour side and from your balcony you can watch the coming and goings of the small fishing boats and beyond the harbour there are stunning views of the Solway Firth and Scottish Hills. Within a few steps there is the children’s Shipwreck playground and next to that is the popular Maryport Aquarium. Across the road from Harbour Gates and beside the river Ellen is the newly built Wave Centre which is hosts to a variety of entertainment and leisure activities as well as being home to the Maritime Museum. Within easy walking distance you can be in Maryport centre which has undergone substantial investment to its infrastructure and now includes a new pedestrian footbridge over the harbour front. In Maryport there is a range of pubs and a variety of restaurants which cater for most culinary wants. Maryport is developing its Roman Heritage connection in a continued drive to present itself as a centre of interest. Beyond Maryport to the north there is the unspoilt Solway coast and the seaside towns of Allenby and Silloth. Inland and within a half hours drive are Cockermouth and Keswick.     Good clean home, though should be that for the charge for the week. Downside is Maryport is very run down, there is no Wi-Fi in the house and the upper rooms do not have any black out blinds, so be prepared to wake up at first light.

    Lovely accommodation, very well equipped and very clean. Nice views of the harbour and very close to the shops/pubs/restaurants of Maryport.

    Thank you for allowing us to stay in your lovely house and yes we would happily come again and would recommend the property. We were 6 persons and felt that was enough people to be in the house even though there were enough beds for 8, any more would make the eating and sitting area overcrowded.
