We really enjoyed our stay at Harbour House. The house is in a great location, close to the beach and shops and also a great base to explore the rest Northumberland.

The property was excellent and situated in a lovely area of Northumberland - everything within easy walking distance (high street shops, harbour and harbour retail outlet, small beach by the boardwalk, children's play area, coastal walks). There are also some fabulous sandy and dog-friendly beaches within a 10-15 minutes drive. There is a secure drive plus a small flagged area with a picnic table at the rear of the property. If you aren't used to living next to a busy road, then this house may not be suitable if you require a peaceful/restful holiday. The property is located 3 doors from a popular local CO-OP store (opening hours 8am-10pm). HGV's deliver goods from 7am; supermarket extractor fans located at the rear of the shop and you also need to contend with customer vehicles parking on the road with their associated noise. Due to its proximity to the CO-OP - we have graded the location as an 7 but Amble itself is a wonderful location for a vacation.

The house is extremely comfortable and well equipped with high end products. There's plenty of storage and the back porch room was great for the dog at night. There's a small co op two doors down which was handy however we either ate out or had take away most nights. There's plenty of places to eat in the town. Our 4 year old Granddaughter loved the beach at the end of the road, it's been well planned so it's a safe bathing / paddling bay for children. Warksworth Castle is just down the road, a must for young children, great place for an adventure. Overall we had a brilliant time in Amble.

Harbour House is easily the best holiday rental that we have ever been to, and we've been to a lot. There was nothing that I can think of that wasn't provided and the extras e.g. books, toys, plenty of toilet rolls and bin bags not to mention a bottle of wine were very thoughtful and much appreciated. The information file was very thorough and the heating was very efficient making the house very cosy. The position of the house was wonderful, just a couple of minutes from the harbour and the beach and from the finest fish and chip shop that we've ever visited. Amble is a great little town with good shops and a lot of varied eateries. We can't wait to pay another visit.

Great little cottage to explore the area. Walking distance to the sea. Amble has a nice Sunday market and harbour shops and loads of takeaways but for us a great base to explore. Close to Alnmouth station for a trip to Scotland and about 7 miles from Alnwick castle. We explored a much from here. Lovely arrival gifts and owner very helpful. The only think that stopped us rating 10/10 was shortage of crockery we got a couple of items in town to mean we had enough bowls and left them there. One of those cottages we would repeat visit to though. Great find

Lovely little house in Amble which is a good base for exploring the area. The house itself is beautifully kept and everything you need for your stay is provided. The owners are responsive and very helpful to any problems that you may have. There is street parking at the front and a parking space at the rear accessed via a back lane. At the rear, attached to the kitchen, is a small room/porch which we found ideal for storing all the things we needed for our dog, as well as our walking boots and coats. Very warm house with comfortable sofas and a large screen tv if you fancy a chill in the evening. Chip shop just around the corner is superb and don’t miss the Fish Shack, as short walk away for lovely seafood dishes.

An excellent base in a lovely people, and dog friendly town. This was our 2nd visit to this cottage. Not disappointed. This is a good family orientated base. Close to plenty of historic locations and lovely beaches. Good walks all around. Love Northumberland.

Lovely warm and comfortable house, that had nearly everything you would need, only exception was that there was no full length mirror. The décor is modern and clean. The location was really good only a minute walk from the harbour or beach and a few more into the town. Amble had a good variety of restaurants and cafes, so to be honest we never cooked in the house. We parked the car when we arrived on the Friday and it did not move until we left on the Monday.

What a great break away. We really enjoyed our stay. The house was just where we wanted in Amble. Close to the sea and great for tea time walks before dinner. We used the house as base to explore Northumberland and it was perfectly suited. We'd definitely stay there again. Thank you
