The well-equipped cottages offer stunning views across the expanse of Luce Bay with its white tipped waves and sea birds beautiful in the summer but equally spectacular for wave watching in winter. The area is unspoilt the scenery idyllic and the seascapes around the Rhins as dramatic as they are beautiful. Attractions include fishing golf courses and the RSPB Scotland Mull of Galloway Nature Reserve where thousands of seabirds nest in the cliff face during the spring and summer. Harbour porpoises dolphins seals and otters can all be seen in the area. Logan Botanical Gardens are a must during spring and summer with its beautiful displays of rare and native plants as are the gardens at Castle Kennedy and Ardwell House. 5 miles north of Stranraer is Cairnryan home to the Stena Line and PO ferries which make regular trips to Ireland. A local well stocked convenience store caféseafood restaurant and 3 pubs are all within 500 yards." https://img.chooseacottage.co.uk/Property/550/840/550911.jpg 27100

    Lovely time

Super cottage in fantastic location . It was spotlessly clean and had everything needed for guests to use. The welcome pack was perfect after a long journey. We would definitely go back to Gigha

The cottage was very inviting and super warm no need for open fire we had storm costs and beginning of Dennis the views were brilliant just a few small details prevented perfect 10 we are disabled so a grab rail at one of the doors would help preferably front and welcome pack I don't think 3 sachets of instant coffee and sachets of sugar really count also while I don't expect toiletries a hand wash and washing up liquid would go amiss

A lovely break away, very quiet and peaceful. Great for walking.

We visited on November of 2019 and it was fabby. When we arrived it was pitch black and we had no phone signal to call and get the pin so had to nip into the one pub that was open. once we got in to the cottage, we fell in love with the cottage. it was cosy, right on the shore and it was exactly what we wanted. We went offseason so everything was shut but we didn't mind at all. As we had our dog with us we took lots of local walks, visted the Drummore art trail which was lovely we also visited the Mull of Galloway Lighthouse (about a 15 minute drive away) which has the most incredible views on a clear day. After our trips out, we were welcomed back to a warm cottage that was just lovely. it is well looked after and it was spotless. the weather wasn't the best while we were there but my husband spent most of his time in the house looking through the binoculars at the boats in the loch. the only thing that could be done to improve it is a slight updating of the living room furniture as it was a wee bit uncomfortable. We would highly recommend Gigha cottage to anyone who is looking for a quiet few days with lots of walks and a truly relaxing time and hope to be back in the not so distant future!

This was our second visit to Drummore and Gigha. It is beautiful part of the country and Gigha cottage is a pleasure to stay in.

The owners have been letting this cottage , with its stunning views, since 1992 (according to the visitors book) . I would like to thank them for all the years they have been looking after this cottage, it is a testament to their care and hard work that this cottage is so cosy, well equipped, welcoming and we'll maintained. Lovely setting, lovely Drummore, with loads of places to visit and see i.e. Mull of Galloway, Portpatrick . Apologies for not filling in the visitors book...too busy having a good holiday, went totally out of our minds .

Fabulous well equipped cottage. Superb views and walks on the doorstep. Nothing to dislike

Enjoyable relaxing holiday in a relatively un-spoilt corner of Scotland. The cottage was clean and presentable with fabulous sea views to the front and a sun-trap garden to the rear. Only 20 or so yards from the sea.
