No smoking.\n\n This terraced contemporary holiday property is located on the exclusive South Snowdon Wharf development in Porthmadog and has lovely views out over the end of the famous Ffestiniog Railway to the boats moored in the harbour. As the tide rises and falls the ever-changing vista is utterly compelling and the balcony is just the spot to most appreciate the view with a glass of wine or an al-fresco dinner.\nThe little steam trains of the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway provide great entertainment as they bustle off on their spectacular journeys to either Blaenau Ffestiniog or Caernarfon. A short stroll takes you into the town centre which offers a great choice of places to eat and drink. The picturesque Italianate village of Portmeirion designed by Sir Clough Williams Ellis is well worth a visit as is the glorious sandy beach at Black Rock Sands perfect bucket and spade territory or if you fancy a paddle in the sea. Meanwhile Blaenau Ffestiniog is an adrenaline junkie’s delight with Zip World the largest zip wire zone in the world Bounce Below where you can bounce on trampoline nets deep underground in an old slate cavern or the Stiniog downhill mountain bike trails. Beach 2 miles. Shop and restaurant 200 yards pub 50 yards. " https://img.chooseacottage.co.uk/Property/127/840/1274761.jpg UK6064

Perfect for steam railway fans. Engines take on coal and water right under the living room window. Much improved in the past year by the addition of Wifi and new beds and furniture.

Harbour View is in located in a quiet private estate with parking for one car, and is conveniently close to the High Street shops and it provides an excellent base for exploring the surrounding area. The cottage is next door to Porthmadog's main tourist attraction, the famous Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railway and although it is possible to see the railway from the cottage there is no disturbance from the railway.

Excellent location next to harbour and Ffestiniog Railway. Peaceful with lovely views, clean, well equipped with lovely new leather sofas to admire the view and watch the world go by. Fab holiday, thank you :)

Central position for the town and trains Harbour Veiw equipped to an acceptable level. We did find the bathroom small, may benefit by taking the bath out and putting in a walk in shower and that would free up space for storage and a towel rail.Apart from that we enjoyed our stay and would book it again.

This was our 4th visit to Harbour View in the last 3 years and it certainly won't be our last as we are already booking for next year. Harbour View has all the comforts of home, great scenery, great location and local amenities, pubs, shops and cafes all within walking distance. There is loads of storage and everything you could want is provided (except towels). The owner is a really friendly person and goes out of his way to do whatever he can to make your stay as good as he possibly can and nothing is too much trouble. We were there 22 June 2019 to 6 July 2019 and within the first couple of days the water tank decided it wanted to break down and leak! The owner was so apologetic and tried to get a plumber and new boiler fitted asap and was in touch with us through the whole process, getting rather concerned that we wouldn't have hot water to which our reply was 'we have a kettle and a shower what more do we need?' We even offered to stay in to be there when workmen came so that we could let them in and explain the problem and all because we genuinely love the place and see it as our 'home from home' we have never felt that way about anywhere else we have stayed. Harbour View is such a relaxing place to stay, it's warm, cosy and inviting and we hate leaving it. Would we recommend Harbour View to other people? Without a shadow of a doubt the answer would be YES!

Everything was very good. We enjoyed the convenience of having all we wanted so easy to access i.e. the railway, restaurants, peninsula. All perfect. Thank-you.

Had a great two weeks at Harbour View, seeing steam engines being serviced right outside the window was fantastic. The house was warm and comfortable, especially the bed and sofas, however as usual lack of kitchen equipment let it down, hence the 8. It was nice having two pint glasses, but only one tiny frying pan and Pyrex dishes without lids. A cafetiere would have been nice, but there was a teapot, toaster, microwave oven and hob, a good kettle and saucepans. The location was superb for us right next to the station, with it's bar serving real ales. The town has a variety of shops from Tesco to small cafes, all within walking distance and on the flat, the Chelsea Buns from Newell's were a real treat. If you book this expect some noise from the trains, whistles and bangs. (we loved it)

wierd coin in the slot elextric system which gives you the coin back - Why have it at all. Clearer instructions needed - text on fuse box is nowhere near electricity. Bathroom cupboard - dirty and unsuable. Otherwise OK
