Had a fabulous week at Hawthorne House which was perfectly located for avoiding the busier town of Keswick. Lots of walking and the lake right on the doorstep with a short walk 1/4 mile to the pub - all were ideal. Property was spacious and well equipped, beds comfortable and shower was fantastic. Thank you.

Home from home in a beautiful location near the Lake with great mountain views from the living room. Very clean with comfy beds, dining kitchen with all the mod cons. We understand that the bathroom had been renovated and indeed it has a fantastic shower and the second toilet and sink in the utility is very handy. Loved the bathroom decor! All in all a great stay, we’ll be back.

Well appointed apartment, ideal for northern lakes, mountains etc. Good food pub 5 mins walk.

Lovely walk into Keswick where there is everything you need, returned on the bus whoever there's a bus stop across the road. Had a lovely meal in the pheasant inn within walking distance. Lakeland distillery also within distance, worth having a tour. If you wanted to do posh there is Armathwaite hall close by.

Excellent property. Only minor issue is the positioning of the bathroom in the house - downstairs from the bedrooms. But it’s an old Victorian house so is quirky like that! So much space in there, all equipment great. No local amenities within walking distance, but we knew that when we booked. Great access to Keswick and the northern lakes. Great stay!

    Lovely setting and great views.

Lovely spacious property. Really liked lounge and kitchen/diner. Stairs could be an problem for some people, and could benefit from a grab rail by the two stairs leading to utility and bathroom. We did have an issue with boot room (sailing gear removed by letting agents of downstairs flat who appeared to have forgotten boot room is shared by both properties). We did sort it out and hopefully it was a one off. Certainly wouldn't stop us from returning.
