Amble is called “The friendliest port” and you are sure to receive a warm and friendly welcome from the locals. Beach 1 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant ¾ mile.

Great cottage, fantastic location, a short walk down the footpath into the centre of amble which is a lovely seaside village. A few niggles that could be easily sorted would make this cottage perfect, in particular there was no ovenware for large family meals that was surprising considering the cottage sleeps 8.

We were 4 couples staying in this house over New Year. It was furnished to an extremely high standard and has obviously been a family home before it became a holiday house. The extra fridge and freezer in the garage was perfect for us because we like to eat in at this time of year and have a lot of food to keep chilled. There is a lovely garden at the back looking onto the fields. Plenty of beautiful coastal walks close by. There were one or two basic items of equipment missing in the kitchen but we made a note of them in the suggestion box as requested by the owners. A little disappointed that we were only left 2 dishwasher tablets and no salt and pepper which are things most holiday houses supply as basic. We had been left tea, coffee, sugar and milk in the fridge. This house would be great for a family holiday too and we would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone thinking of visiting the area.
