I had a lovely stay at High Bank. It's very spacious and comfortable and there was everything I needed. Mike and Gill, the owners, are very friendly and live next door. The only downside for me was that the garden isn't private and maybe a couple of things for dogs could be provided which other dog friendly accommodations do.

This is a very comfortable house in a great location in the centre of the village. Gill and Mike made us welcome and were on hand to give advice about local dog walks and other attractions. Property is very well equipped and clean and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely cottage, with really friendly and helpful owners who live next door. Every amenities in the cottage that you would require. Lovely garden, very relaxing The only minor drawback is the co-op shop opposite , although handy for everyday needs, it is also noisy from about 6am due to deliveries. However that did not bother us unduly.

Despite the torrential rain we had a nice week. Convenient location with co-op, fish and chip shop, dog friendly cafe and pub all a couple of minutes walk away - we've had enough of being stuck in remote cottages so this was ideal for us. The cottage was exceptionally clean, warm and comfortable and we slept well. Pretty cottage garden, even in the rain, and dog secure with a double gate. Walked the dog around the attractive village, found the Mill, and would have walked to the canal, weather permitting.

A surprisingly spacious house with large rooms & a well equipped kitchen. The carpets looked new & the house was spotlessly clean. The owners next door were extremely welcoming & friendly & the cottage was ideally situated for all the village amenities. We very much look forward to returning next year.

Very nice cottage to have stayed at, it was a pleasure. Really friendly owners living in the neighbouring property, approachable and charming. The location is great for getting to local shop, however not as great for walking the dogs unfortunately. The latter wasn't an issue as we did have a car, which could be parked on the driveway. Nice pubs nearby, doing great food. Very clean, with a nice garden layout; although a little more furniture in the garden might have improved experience. Really recommend! Thank you so much

Lovely village (with a great play area), very good house with a lovely garden. Excellent for family with young children. A few more pans and better knives in the kitchen wouldn't go amiss.

very comfortable cottage, owners live next door so if you needed anything - which we didn't - they would have been easy to contact. Shops & pubs just across road so very relaxed time there.

Enjoyed our stay at High Bank very much, it was very well equipped ( a lot of thought has gone into making the cottage as comfortable as possible ). There are many footpaths around the village which our dog enjoyed, and shop & pub close by and friendly.
