We know this area well as have family in the area. The farmhouse is in a great location and enjoyed bike rides along the quiet road to Lussa and other parts. The peacocks were a great surprise. However we had to thoroughly clean the kitchen including a dirty grill, glasses & crockery. Considering the property was signed up to a deep clean felt that the kitchen was barely cleaned which was disappointing. Rest of property was fine and we all enjoyed the games room.

We 6 adults and 3 dogs loved High Ranachan and the location is perfect to get to everywhere you want to visit from beach walks to lochs to getting in the hills to explore, lots of wildlife spent a lot of time chasing the herd of deer down the road to get a decent photo. Cottage was lovely, games room added some evening fun, with wood burner with a pile of wood for you to burn we absolutely loved it, and thanks to Stuart for sorting the heating when we first arrived outstanding.

My only criticism was the noise which I don't really think the owner could do anything about. We were there during a storm and the wind rattled the sky dish right outside the bedroom window. We ended up moving to a different bedroom and that was fine but it'll we had a full house it could have been difficult as even with earplugs it was impossible to sleep through the noise. Otherwise the house was gorgeous, the kitchen was well appointed and the house was a lot closer to Campbeltown itself than I had expected which was great as we had the quiet and privacy of the rural location but could drive to cafes and shops in ten minutes.

Beautiful cottage on a working farm outside Campbelltown. Our dog (and us) loved the morning walks along the beach.

An amazing holiday home where we celebrated my special birthday. So much space and such a well laid out house with great social space. Tastefully renovated with beautiful furnishings and fittings. Fantastic location. Can’t fault it. I would highly recommend this farmhouse. We had 3 dogs and there was masses of room for them.
