Booked this beautiful cottage for my parents as a birthday present. It’s a shame it only has one bedroom as myself and partner stayed in the next village on but came to visit. What a beautiful cottage, set down a nice quiet track amongst fields. Has a lovely country feel to the cottage with everything you need inside and out. We sat outside both nights of there stay and had tea all together as luckily it was really warm weather. The cottage is done to a high standard and we will be definitely booking again as it is situated in a great area close to Hemsley town and close distance to Whitby and other coasts.

Cottage is near to many attractions yet very peaceful. Helmsley only 3 miles away, pub / chip shop / restaurant within walking distance. Near to many other places, e.g. Rievaulx, Nunnington Hall, NY Moors railway, etc. Very well equipped, in fact there were more little 'extras' than we would have thought - things like sandwich boxes, small food bags, washing up equipment, DVDs, not to mention the excellent food gifts left by the owner.

Absolutely fantastic stay in Highfield Barn! It was easy to find, warm and cosy and had some lovely treats for us when we arrived. The cottage itself was perfect. It had everything we needed for an amazing mini-break. I really recommend staying here.
