    Kitchen/dining room: With electric cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer and dishwasher.
    Utility room: With washing machine, tumble dryer and shower cubicle.
    Bedroom 1: With kingsize bed and en-suite with shower cubicle and toilet.
    Bedroom 2: With double bed.
    Bedroom 3: With single bed.
    Bathroom: With bath and toilet.

    Electric storage heaters, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial fuel for open fire included (Sep-May). Cot and highchair.

    Garden with decking, garden furniture and BBQ. Bike store. Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking. Please note: Couples and family bookings only.

    These two holiday cottages (refs NP80 and NP81) are situated ½ mile from the shores of Lake Ullswater in superb surroundings. This working farm borders the River Eamont and is close to the craggy peaks of the lakeland fells. Fells nearby include the High Street range, 1 mile, and Helvellyn, 8 miles. Penrith, 6 miles. Windermere, 13 miles. Access is via a small, private holiday park under the same ownership. Good location for peace and quiet yet only ¼ mile walk to Pooley Bridge with shops, pubs, cafes and steamer trips. Young children’s play area and small football pitch nearby. NP81 is adjacent to the owners quiet seasonal holiday park with no letting or sub letting. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
    Riverbank Cottage can be booked together with Garden Cottage (ref NP81) to accommodate up to 12 guests.

    We loved our stay at Riverbank Cottage! The views were wonderfull! Pooley Bridge and Ullswater are within a short walk of 5-10 minutes. The cottage is much larger than it looks like at the photos on the website. It is very complete, clean and cousy decorated. The location is perfect to explore the Lake District. We have visited Aira Force (20min), Ambleside (45min), Keswick and Derwent Water (30min) and Hadrian's Wall/Housesteads (60min). If it's possible we will come back one day at Riverbank Cottage to enjoy the beautiful Lake District some more!

    Nice cottage in a good location but Pooley Bridge is very quiet and only one shop was open when we visited-granted early in the season. Sofas and beds are not very comfortable and there was never enough hot water for five adults even using the “boost” functionality on the boiler. Owner was friendly and the firewood/coal was a nice touch. Also left fresh milk, tea, coffee and wine which was also a lovely thought.

    River Bank Cottage was a lovely holiday cottage offering everything you need for a relaxing break in the Beautiful Lake District. The cottage comes well equipped with everything you could need, the owners even left a jug of fresh milk and bottle of Prosecco in the Fridge- what a lovely touch and much appreciated. The Cottage is located in a lovely quiet farm and privately owned caravan park with views across fields with a river at the bottom of the garden , only a short walk across the fields is Pooley Bridge and the shores of Ullswater . If you fancy leaving the car parked up , a walk along to Howtown is recommended and there is a lovely tea room at the Howtown Hotel for tea and cakes before the return walk ! Only small negative for some people is the wifi is patchy at best in the cottage but Vodafone signal is very good so didn't affect us too much. Overall a great week at the Riverbank cottage and we will return.

    lovely cottage warm and comfortable one of the best equipped we have stayed in. owners very friendly and helpful.Pooley Bridge 10 minutes walk good pubs and food,not a lot in the way of local groceries need to go to Penrith to stock up
