It was renovated and fully refurbished providing fabulous facilities panoramic views from most rooms and is set in two acres of delightful grounds with woodland area stream lawn summer house outdoor seating and eating areas and ample parking. The Sun Inn and Castle Inn Hotel are each within a five minute walk both serving real ale and food.     Very nice. No local amenities except a pub 15 min walk away. Views were spectacular. Garden furniture was inadequate for 6 people and needed be replaced.

    A great cottage for a large family group. Excellent location for exploring Northern Lake District. Dogs loved the walks from the doorstep. Simply stunning views from the front of the property. It was a lovely, restful break.

    Gathered my family here for Christmas week, 6 adults, 2 children and 3 dogs. Everything we needed, the owner had put up lovely decorations and a real Christmas tree beautiful. Plenty of room for our family to have quiet time.We all love walking so plenty of signed foot paths and a friendly pub close by in the village. Can’t recommend Holly Bank enough, we’ve booked again for a different time of your.

    Fantastic autumn break. Whole family aged 20 to 90 plus dog, loved it. Something for everyone in a very well situated and equipped cottage.

    We had a lovely stay. Fantastic view. Good local short walks. Clean and tidy house with good facilities. Loved the wood burning stove for the cool evenings. A very enjoyable and pleasant stay. Happy to recommend this cottage

    Loved this cottage, did not what to come home  great for are dogs, walks from the door. Saw red squirrel’s every day. Already booked again for next year 

    Great property, views second to none. Well equipped, a couple of little tweaks would make it a 10/10, nothing major, I left a couple of suggestions in the book provided.

    We had the most amazing time. My son got married at Armthwaite Hall. We would go there again my grandchildren loved every minute. The any down fall is the public foot path. Dogs are not kept on leads. Went out with my dog and 2 dogs being walked apeared out of no were. We had young children with us so had to check that unleashed dogs other than our pets were not about. Would love to go back its amazing.
