We had a fabulous stay at Ingle Neuk for my wife's 50th birthday, we took our 3 dogs and they absolutely loved it. John, the owner is a lovely, friendly man who showed us around and made us feel very welcome. The cottage backs out onto the fells so it was great for the dogs, it is well equipped, cosy and comfortable. The village is only small and the nearest pub is approx. 1 mile away, we walked back at night without incident and it took about 20 mins (you will need a torch). The pub is warm and friendly and the pies were amazing. We visited both Keswick and Penrith which are each about 10 miles away. Penrith has plenty of choice by way of supermarkets. Keswick had more to offer by way of places to eat and drink, I can recommend the Dog and Gun, the Goulash there was amazing. All in all we loved our stay and will definitely return.

A lovely short break, perfect for walking as straight out the backdoor and also for exploring Keswick and Ullswater. The Mill Inn is extremely welcoming and the pies are delicious. Met several people who have been returning for years. Our 3 dogs certainly enjoyed it. John was very hospitable and we will certainly make a return journey. Many memories created.

Excellent beautiful location. Had everything there we needed. Worth noting the uneven flooring upstairs that could cause issues for the unstable first thing in the morning and steep short stepped staircase requires caution when descending. Very hospitable and friendly owner. Storage heaters easy to regulate heat. Querky with much character.
