The cottage is comfortable and lots of room for 6 people . We spent a lovely walking holiday there.,A few things would have made our stay even Better. The shower had to be cleaned of an unpleasant blockage so that the water could flow down the drain . Unfortunately, there was no shower Attachment in the bathroom , so that all of us had to use one shower . There was also only one toilet brush for toilets. The kitchen was very well- stocked in general but there were only four wineglasses and five eggcups for 6 if us . These are small things which could easily remedied.

Had a lovely week in this cottage, very clean and comfortable with practically everything you could need (apart from a lemon squeezer - but there is one now!) The only thing I would mention is that, as other reviewers have pointed out, the garden is very small. This isn't a problem at all, except that on the booking sites it is explicitly listed as 'large garden' so if you hadn't read all the reviews you would feel cheated. Also parking for up to two cars is in the village car park, not outside the cottage as stated. Otherwise the only thing I would change would be a curtain over the large glass front porch area, otherwise at night you feel like you are on reality TV when people stare in as they walk past!

This was our first experience of booking a cottage. Although the location was just where we wanted to be, the cottage was disappointing. The photo of the property suggests there is a large back garden with lawn area, in fact this only consisted of a narrow strip of gravel, adjacent to another property’s garden (which featured in the promotional photo). The bbq was not usable (as there was no cooking surface), although advertised. The electrics inside were suspect, the socket in the kitchen was loose from the wall and two plugs upstairs were old, discoloured and loose. I’m not sure the fire angel warning system in the kitchen was active.

It could be a lovely property but as we were visiting in December and were only allowed central heating twice a day it was uncomfortably cold. The log burning fire was in the dining area so very little heat could be felt anywhere else. The lounge area was inadequately heated by an electric fan heater for the remainder of the time. We used up all the logs supplied and purchased more. The only wardrobe in the property had a grand total of 4 hangers for potentially 6 guests. There was not one door hook to hang a towel or dressing gown on which you would expect in a recently refurbished bathroom. The central heating controls were in a locked cupboard so could not be altered. The village itself is beautiful and the local eateries very good.

The cottage was very cold, there was no wood for the log burner on arrival early evening, there are no curtains downstairs so no privacy and could not get parked by cottage. Only one wardrobe in the whole cottage.

A beautiful house right in the centre of Kettlewell, a good size for a large family. The bathrooms are newly finished and look great, the only thing they lack is somewhere to hang you clothes and hand towel. It was cold on arrival and the 1st nights fuel supply was missing. If you are elderly or unsteady on your feet the stairs would not be suitable.

Beautiful and deceptively spacious cottage in a lovely village. The only thing lacking in the cottage was a tea cozy for keeping the teapot warm! Everything else was great and very comfortable for our stay. Beautiful new bathrooms and furnishings upstairs. We’ll be back!
