Lovely cottage, very comfortable with everything you could need. Good location near the hills, lakes and coast. Plenty of villages nearby to explore.

Beautiful cottage in a stunning location with a pub down the lane serving great food. This was our second visit, so we obviously like it. It hadnt changed in the 4 years between our visits. The sofas were just as uncomfortable as we remembered, but they look great, same crockery, but with extra chips and places like the tops of the wardrobes had the same dust, but on the whole the place was clean. No welcome wine and chocs this time.

An excellent cottage in a great location. We saw part of the Lakes we have never seen before. The cottage was spotless and very well equipped. It was very comfortable and had great views.

Absolutely gorgeous. Location is beautiful. Just 10 minute drive from Coniston Lake and 30 second walk to the nearest pub which was just lovely with lovely staff and serving food until 8pm. The cottage itself is beautiful with everything you need for a home from home break. Will definitely be going again

This accommodation seems to have extraordinary number of positive reviews, which we find very suprising given our experience, we don't like leaving negative feedback and indeed we were told by the owner not to leave a review, as he stated no review is better than a bad review. We will not be stopping here again, and would not recommend to anyone.

Hidden gem lovely cottage very clean .... needs to cater for the older guests bed to low and settee to low . Stickers everywear rules to abide off putting for a let ..... we would have respect the let came home early bad back through bed uncomfortable

Thoughtful set up and facilities. The down beds and up sitting may not suit elderly people TV sometimes faded out. But v. Clean n well provided.

The cottage is immaculate and the owners show a real attention to detail. Everything you’d need in the kitchen utensil wise is there. Plus cleaning products and also tea, coffee, sugar, salt & pepper. As other reviews have said, there are a number of signs up re dogs, bits of advice etc. Please don’t be put off by these, we have a big dog and it’s basic hygiene not to allow them on the beds so I loved the signs. Local pub is ok, great butcher in Broughton which is the closest village about 10 min drive and Coniston which is a 25 min drive has some nice pubs and restaurants. Great location for exploring, forests, lakes and the sea shore.
