The cottage itself was warm and cosy with plenty of hot water. There were one or two issues with flickering lights and wonky taps and shower head but they didn’t really affect us. The front outside area could do with weeding and tidying and the same with the garden which was overgrown and had broken seating. The front steps are very steep and not really suitable for anyone who is in any way infirm. The cottage sits on a very steep hill so again you need to be reasonably able bodied especially if you want to walk down to either of the excellent pubs in the village.

Cottage was not as expected. No parking had to park a long way from cottage.Garden was a big let down dirty and benches broken.Taps loose comments about this in book but nothing done about it.The waste bin was not big enough no where to put rubbish had to left outside.Shower holder loose wouldn't stay on wall.No fuel for fire.Wall lights kept flickering.TV no signal. It certainly wasn't worth the money.

The cottage wasn't very clean. The cable to from the dish to the TV box was broken. The 2 very deep steps from the road into the front of the cottage were totally unsuitable for my elderly mum, that should be made clear on the website. If I had known that I wouldn't have booked it. The fencing at the front is rotten and mum had to hold on to that to get in and out of the cottage to the road. The photograph of the cottage on the site looks as if the cottage is on the flat and it is actually on a steep gradient Ok for fit younger holiday makers. Bathroom and kitchen were clean, but lounge wasn't .

Its a nice cottage in a lovely location. The outside space was a big challenge for us as we have a Labrador and he had no where really to go outside. There is a log burner however it was a little disappointing there wasn't even a few logs when we arrived - this would have been a nice welcome. Also other cottages we have stayed at had things like a pint of milk when we arrive - this is a nice extra to be able to have a cuppa when arriving after a long journey. Its a really lovely cottage but not for us really - personal choice.
