No smoking.\n\n Kittiwakes is on a quiet street within a gentle stroll from the high street and harbour in this small friendly fishing town. With spacious living accommodation this lovely terraced house is perfect for relaxing in after a day out exploring the area. Amble is reputedly the friendliest port with a working harbour marina and a small beach. Down on the harbour there are some small fish restaurants as well as two fish and chip shops and an Italian-style ice cream shop. Boat trips are available from here to Coquet Island to see the RSPB bird sanctuary. The historic village of Warkworth is only 2 miles away. The pubs bespoke shops and pretty riverside make this a popular little place to visit. The town of Alnwick with its cobbled streets and famous castle which featured in ’Harry Potter’ and ’Downton Abbey’ is 15 minutes’ drive away. The Alnwick Garden with its spectacular Grand Cascade Waterfall and the worlds largest treehouse restaurant is well worth a visit. Amble is on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which includes the Heritage coastline and some of the most unspoilt beaches in England and many footpaths and cycle paths. Beach ½ mile.     Had a lovely few days at this cottage. Amble has great places to eat and drink and it was a lovely place to wander. The dogs loved Warkworth beach (so did we). The cottage had everything we needed and was really spacious. Excellent!

    We are a returning group to Amble and found this accommodation to be good value for money, dog friendly and ideally located being only a few minutes walk to the town or harbour/beach. Would highly recommend.

    Kittiwakes had everything you could possibly need for a home from home. The kitchen was extremely well equipped. Beds extremely comfortable. Location fantastic as Amble and a great selection of pubs and restaurants that were dog friendly.. we would definitely go back as well as high recommend it.

    Kittiwakes is a lovely, stylish house with very comfortable furniture. Everything has been thought of and provided for a home from home stay. It’s only around 5 minutes walk to the harbour area which has been really improved since we last visited. It was a really pleasant surprise. We were lucky with the weather and enjoyed walking along the beach and to Warkworth Castle. The little back yard is a great sun trap for sitting out and there’s a good field next to the house for walking dogs early morning or for their last potter around in the evening. A good short break which we really enjoyed. The only slight issue we had was that the neighbour is currently renovating their property and, as it has been taken right back to brick, we could hear them really clearly through the party wall quite late into the first night. Kittiwakes owners have no control over that and it was only on the Friday evening. Hopefully it won’t take too long to complete the work.
