Lovely accommodation but it’s not got an ensuit as described it’s just a toilet and sink. An ensuit to me is a shower.

Great location as a holiday base, well stocked kitchen and lovely sized rooms but lots of cobwebs everywhere which wasn't pleasant.

    out of 10

Barn is beautiful but needs some basic renovations e.g. window frames need replacing as are crumbling. One bed needs a new mattress with springs sticking in your back! Cobwebs needs taking away!

Could improve on cutlery and crockery, duvets tired, very spacious, great location, close to lots of places of interest, would recommend.

The cottage could do with some minor touch ups but overall you cannot fault what is on offer. We booked the cottage to escape the city for a few days and enjoy some peace and quiet and it is exactly what we got for our short stay. The cottage is a short drive from various walk and sites to visit and if you want something a little further away Bedgebury Pinetum Park is beautiful. The Jackdaw Inn in Denton does some lovely food and is dog friendly in the bar area.

This was our second stay here. We live the location, just far away enough from the town and village. Lots of nice walks as well. Even though it’s rural you can drive to the shops in a few minutes. The property itself is large but still homely. We like that we can bring our dog. The owner who lived in the near by farm house is very helpful. The first stay we had the DVD player didn’t work so they gave us there’s until they brought a new one for the barn the next day. Same second visit, we needed batteries and they got them straight away. They also were very understanding when one of the kids broke something. Hopefully they will let us back again!

Although there are some things which could have been better ( instructions for appliances, more bins for ease of requested recycling, hoover and mop in situ) it was spacious for all of us. It is a shame that the dogs apparently have to be on a lead in the garden even though it is enclosed and that that the information pack does not state this.

A very nice holiday cottage where you will get great service from the owners whenever you need it!

A great short break with the family and our dog, thank you.

In a beautiful location, Barn Terrace had everything my friend and I (and our 2 dogs) needed for a pleasant 4 night break. The courtyard was fully enclosed so perfect for our dogs and plenty of dog walking right on the doorstep. The games room was an added bonus! Although we didn't have children with us, I can imagine it would be a fantastic bonus to keep them entertained! The cottage was cosy and comfortable with every imaginable extra you could think of, and more! Would highly recommend and hope to return one day!

The cottage suffered greatly from what appeared to be neglect, furniture is no longer what is pictured and several important safety and comfort features were neglected. In the games room a light switch was broken and a plug socket also. The carpet was also lifting creating a trip hazard. None of the uplighters had bulbs in. Additionally while on the subject of the games room. There were not a complete sets of darts provided or chalk for the board. Only one cue was in working order for the pool table and this also broke while we were there! The lighting in the room is insufficient for a games room. The cottage is dark which is unavoidable given the excellent courtyard so this i am fine to accept however several bulbs were blown so it was always gloomy even with the lights on. The conversion of the upstairs into another flat has the unfortunate result of making every move upstairs heard in the downstairs. I found myself several times silently screaming "SIT DOWN" at the ceiling. The advertised satellite TV is actually free-view and reception on several nights was non existent. (literally unwatchable) and as for the wifi, this barely worked and constantly dropped out. It was, to all intents non-existent, add this to the total lack of phone signal (unavoidable I know but all the more reason for WiFI to actually work) we may as well have holidayed in a cave. Of course this explained the lack of plug sockets as there was no point in plugging anything in. There was also no radio but a bluetooth speaker was provided. Again fairly useless with no wifi. The TV was loose wired with hanging cables from a shelf, these should be concealed or conduited. A child could easily grab onto them. Of greater concern from a health and safety aspect was the non working extractor fans in the bathrooms. The main one was not even sealed and the entire faceplate could lift off exposing the (possibly live but as it didn't work who knows) wiring. The en-suite bathrooms extractor was so loud as to be essentially dead also. Switched off. Back to the main bathroom. The shower riser was broken so you could only really fit under if you were a dwarf or a child. The floor tiles also needed some TLC as they were pretty much all cracked. There was also no indication of how to use the towel rails in each bathroom. We had a minor drop in temperatures during our stay and to say the radiators were cryptic is an understatement, we wrapped up warm instead. The kitchen was not well equipped, pots and pans need replacing and there were no bin bags provided. The dishwasher was in need of salt and useless. The pictured tablecloth did not exist. I fully understand that the properties do undergo wear and tear but considering that the owners house is further up the drive to leave the property in such a state of disrepair is disgusting. The electrical issues should be sorted as a matter of urgency. Probably the most disappointing cottage I have visited in the past 10 years.
