Literature, at the Old School Apartments is located in the centre of the rural village of Dalavich, close to pretty peaceful woodland with a lovely outlook towards Loch Awe and the mountains beyond. Thoughtfully renovated from the old village primary school, each apartment is named after a school subject!
Literature is a one-bedroom ground-floor apartment with a bright open-plan fully equipped kitchen and comfortable living area with Satellite TV, and DVD player ideal for relaxing with a film for a quiet evening. The living room is south facing, benefiting from warm light throughout the day, and with high classroom ceilings, is light and airy. Why not take advantage of the peace and tranquillity to savour a romantic meal for two, before curling up with a nice wine and enjoying being alone together. There is a cosy south facing master bedroom where you can leave the curtains hooked back, turn off the lights and enjoy the beauty of our star lit skies in complete warmth and seclusion. The large private garden offers plenty of room for the young and energetic children to run off excess energy.

Loch Awe is Scotland’s longest freshwater loch and has superb fishing, enchanted islands and deserted castles to explore. In addition to the peace and quiet of the location, the surrounding area provides an amazing natural playground. There are forests, burns, rivers, castles, mountains and lochs to explore and enjoy with many walking and cycling routes. A world-renowned destination for anglers, Loch Awe provides one of the best opportunities for wildlife. When you go out exploring, don’t forget your camera and binoculars! Keep a watch out for Ospreys, Red Squirrels, Wild Cats, Pine Martens, and much, much more. You can also see Golden Eagle and Sea Eagle, Red and Roe Deer and an unparalleled amount of bird life.
